Description

Can two strangers, who were never meant to be, believe in love again

When he needs answers and only she has the key,,,

Back from a gap year abroad, teacher Jet Diekerhof takes a long-term sub position at a one-room school house in Montana’s Paradise Valley. Jet’s grateful: it’s 775 miles from her overly involved family—and the guy who broke her heart. But she’s also sworn off men until meeting the handsome Shane Swan…

Thirty-four-year-old Shane Swan has been an outsider since birth. He was raised by his maternal grandmother and, after her passing, he ended up in foster care. But he overcame the odds and became one of the most successful writers in America. Yet one question burned in his mind: Why was he the one given away, and his brothers kept? His next move was to relocate to Marietta where he could unravel the secrets and lies and what it means to be a Sheenan – even if that means turning to Jet, who knows more about the Sheenans than anyone.

If Jet can connect him with the keys to his past, he’s fine to cross some lines… until he begins to fall for her.

I read all your books involving the Marietta families non-stop, and have now just finished this last one. Say it’s not so! There’re no more books about these characters…??? I’m really gonna miss them! As always, I’d love it if these stories were more fully fleshed out, and I’d happily buy them again if you add more content! I’ll finally be able to sleep now, though, that I’ve finished my marathon Jane Porter read! 😴 😴 😴 Thanks for the journeys, Renée 🤓♥️♥️♥️
  • Sheenan book series

I have just finished the 6th, and sadly, the last Sheenan book in your series. I have enjoyed each book immensely...started the first one and couldn't stop until I read the last page on Shane's story, the lost Sheenan. Love the sense of humor that all your books have scattered throughout. I have smiled more than once while reading these. And the last book...Shane's story...hit so close to home for me so it couldn't have ended any better. I'm hoping for a similar ending, hopefully before I pass away. My oldest son, Shane, born in 1978 was taken by his dad when he was a year and a half old. He was put in the hospital after passing out for tests, and it scared his dad and he called and let me come see him. For a couple of years, I was "allowed" to go two states over to get him for a couple weeks at a time. My ex had gotten full custody, and I went to lawyers trying to find someone to help me fight him to get my son back. But they all wanted thousands in cash as a retainer, and couldn't give me an estimate on how much it would end up costing me because we had to fight in Texas, not Mississippi. When I decided to remarry in 1982, Shane's dad told me I was to never see or contact them again, that he could, and would, transfer all over the world with his work. So I haven't seen my son since he was 4-1/2. I am writing this review in 2017, so I know you can do the math. I have tried online, and begging his family, to find my son. None of Shane's father's family will peep a sound, and I can't afford private investigators to search. This is why Shane's story is my favorite. Thank you for basically writing a somewhat fairytale ending to my life story.

This story was quite the emotional rollercoaster. I couldn't wait to get to the end, but yet didn't want it to be over. Shane is in Marietta to write a story, but the real reason is to find out about his birth family, the Sheenans, the family that doesn't know he exists. Jet ends up caught in the middle, she really likes Shane, but her sister is married to a Sheenan and they are convinced Shane is nothing but trouble. My heart ached for Shane and his childhood. Always holding out hope that his mother would return for him, but it never happened. With Jet's help he finally managed to move out of the past and let go of some of his grudges. This was a great story with plenty of drama and mystery.

Really hate seeing this series come to a end. When Jet runs out of money she comes to Montana to teach in a one room school house. Shane has been in Marietta for months trying to get close to the Sheenan Brothers .When Jet's sister ask her to stay away from Shane she can not do it . With Jet trying to help Shane find answer to questions about his past . Can she make him go to the Sheenan Brothers for those answers he has been trying to get all this years.

Jane Porter does a great job of engaging the reader and keeping your attention from beginning to end. I love her style of writing. This is a sweet romance with amazing chemistry, and a mystery to solve. "The Lost Sheenan's Bride" by Jane Porter is book six in the "Taming of the Sheenan's". This is Jet Diekerhof and Shane Swan's story. Jet is working as a long-term sub in a one room school in Montana. She is glad that she a long way from her overbearing family and her ex-boyfriend who broke her heart. Jet has sworn off of dating. Well, that is until she met Shane Swan. Shane has moved to Marietta to discover some secrets and lies. He is a successful writer and is using that as his cover to unravel these secrets and lies. Shane becomes friends with Jet whose sister married a Sheenan to see what he can learn about the Sheenan family. As they spend time together the attraction between them grows. What will happen when Jet discovers what Shane's intentions were when they first met? The Sheenans are not happy with Shane asking question and digging into their family history. Whose side will Jet take? You will fall in love with Shane and Jet. I loved watching their relationship grow. If you haven't read the "Taming of the Sheenan's" series, you will want to add it to your to your reading list. I received a copy of this book from Tule Publishing for an honest review.

I absolutely Loved this book! Jet Diekerhof has came to work in a one room school house on a temporary basis. Shane Swan is living at the Sheenan farm while writing a book. The two strike up a conversation and have an instant connection. But can they build a relationship with Jet's extended family putting there two cents in? I am so sad to see this series come to an end. The main characters were very likable and intriguing. It's definately an A+ book!

The last book of Sheenan's , I'm so sad to say goodbye to this family. The one thing these brothers have in common is a strong family bond, and they will fight for it. Shane Swan, an author has come to town to dig up history on a horrific murder and to find unanswered questions of his past. People are not happy with him, the only person to strike up a friendship with him, is newcomer, Jet. As things heat up in their relationship, she helps him solve the mystery of his past and his acceptance into the Sheenan's family. A wonderful written book. My heart just went out to Shane and his upbringing. I will say have your kleenex box close, you will shed a few sad but then happy tears. I highly recommend this book. Looking forward to reading about the Douglas family next.
  • Another Awesome Sheenan Brother

The Lost Sheenan’s Bride (The Taming of the Shennan Brothers, book 6) by Jane Porter is the story of the missing Sheenan brother. Jet Diekerhof is the substitute teacher at the one room school house in Paradise Valley, near Marietta, Montana. Jet, trying to recover from a broken heart, has sworn off men. Jet’s sister Haley, married to Brock Sheenan, helped her find the job and a place to live. Shane Swan has been an outsider, ever since his birth. He was raised by his maternal grandmother near Flathead Lake, Montana until her death when Shane was four years old, at which time he ended up in foster care. Despite Shane being an ambitious, hard working, successful writer of non-fiction books, he continued to wonder why he was given away and not raised with his brothers. Shane decided to use Jet to get closer to the Sheenan brothers, despite never wanting to use a woman in this way. His cover for being in Marietta is that he is writing about the awful killings of the Douglas family, almost 20 years ago. McKenna, Trey Sheenan’s wife, was one of the three survivors of that brutal day. The Sheenan brothers do not want Shane to write this story, protecting one of their own. The more time Jet and Shane spend together, the more the attraction and chemistry between them grows. Throughout the time the two spend together working on Shane’s research, they also try to figure out a way for Shane to let the Sheenan brothers know who he is. This was a fun and entertaining story with likeable characters that you want to support and cheer on hoping for that happy ending. The characters were well written and complex. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I really enjoyed reading this book because Jane Porter wrote a sexy, fun, small town romance that I could not put down. I loved this story as it warmed my heart. I highly recommend this book to other readers. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
