Very compelling story, the Characters pull you in the story moves well and adds interest

Exciting read. Good story, holds your interest.

As my first Grisham novel, l was expecting plot twists and cliffhangers. Nope, not one. You can see the whole story from the beginning and it delivers each expected development on a simple plodding drumbeat.

Good story line, relatable characters, surprise ending. What’s not to like?

I loved the story and the characters. It was a great read.

Ending fell flat, bad guy wins, too simple for such an elaborately laid out narrative plot. Much left to be desired

A wonderful read. A departure from is lawyer theme, but great.

To me, this was a very solid book. Liked taking a break from court room dramas. I liked most of the characters and enjoyed reading.

Kinda cruel all of the real crooks got caught. At least someone made it out of the heat
