Beyond Forever

Beyond Forever was amazing! It was awesome to see the story from the very beginning. Dallas has always made sure to take care of what was his. Becoming the King was inevitable. Finding out how Lex came into the fold and helped form the family was brilliant. These two have always had Powerful Chemistry! You will love Beyond Forever! Reading the Beyond Series is recommended. #OKanesforLife💋

Beyond Forever is the story I feel I’ve been waiting for, as it provides incredible insight into the amazing relationship between Lex and Dallas. It’s a great story and helps tie up and connect all the Lex-Dallas relationship bits and bobs sprinkled throughout the other Beyond stories. Having said that, this is not a story that you’ll truly appreciate unless you’ve read the other Beyond books first. Without those, you lose the depth and breadth of the Lex-Dallas story. But if you’ve read the other books, this one will seem like the perfect story binding them all together. I had no appreciation for how long it took for Lex and Dallas to become a team, and I certainly didn’t realize that Lex was the real architect of the Sector Four family vibe. She fought long and hard to become Dallas’s partner and equal, as she fought for recognition and parity for all women of Sector Four who were instrumental in forming the Kane community. She is a much bigger part of the Sector Four personality than I had imagined. Like all the Beyond books, this is sexy story, filled with raw passion and emotions. And like the other books, there were many surprises sprinkled into a well-written story with well-developed characters. I totally enjoyed this book!

A short and sweet look in to how Dallas and Lex met and came together to run Sector 4. Our story opens with Dallas the bootlegger catching Lex the thief breaking into his safe. The sexual tension is thick between the two from the start. The two work together to build sector 4 into what we know it to be. I have always loved Dallas and Lex and I really enjoyed seeing them how they were before we meet them in Beyond Shame. It really allowed me to understand and appreciate them better. We also get to see them after the end and the reopening of The Broken Circle. Plus getting to check in with some of our favorites is always a plus.

I fell in love with the Beyond series from the very beginning and I have loved all the characters, without fail. We got bits and pieces of Dallas and Lex's beginnings here and there, and I always wanted more. Now we have it and WOW!!! This is their backstory. How Dallas and Lex became the king and queen of Sector Four. And it was everything this reader, this fan, could have asked for and so much more. This story showed us just how important Lex was in helping Dallas become the man we have all come to adore. In helping him understand that the women around him were just as important in his plans as the men were. What a fantastic treat this story was for all the fans of the O'Kanes!!!

Beyond Forever takes us to before there was a forever – before Dallas and Lex were, well, Dallas and Lex. Before Dallas was king. Before Lex was queen. Before the Broken Circle. Before the Sector Four we know and love. We get to see how it all began – the heartache, the struggles, and the development of not just the characters of Dallas and Lex, but of some of the others in Sector Four. We see glimpses of Nessa growing up, of the very beginning of Ace and Rachel, how it all began for Flash and Amira – all woven into the fabric of the growth of Sector Four. I loved seeing Dallas’s character develop. Beyond Forever makes him so much more human to me – as king of Sector Four, he seems so strong and unbreakable, and while accessible, he still has that “I am the king” intimidation factor. But in Beyond Forever, we get to see some vulnerability and uncertainty as he develops into the force behind the Beyond series. And Lex – we know that she is an amazingly strong female character, but I loved seeing the impact she has on how life works in Sector Four. From the subtle to the not-so-subtle influence she has on Dallas, to seeing some of the things we take for granted as “just the way things are” in Sector Four as the result of Lex fighting for it to be that way, we see the stepping stones on her path to becoming queen. Kit Rocha gives us another look into Sector Four, and, as usual, I was blown away!
