Entirely too many unnecessary paragraphs about Detective Lott’s eyes!

Riddled with grammatical mistakes, spelling errors, and horrible cliches. There are also odd moments in the story where one of the characters suddenly has immense sex appeal to a woman he is interviewing about her dead husband. One more oddity is the author’s obsession with describing how wonderful KFC is. This book is really poorly written.

As an avid reader of Robert Ludlum, Ken Follett, and recently David Baldaccci , I was really excited to read Dean WesleySmith’s creation. I read the novel in one night. It was wonderfully written with a twisty plot, unexpected directions and the surprising but fun addition of romance, not usually found in thrillers. It was just a great, different and for me,not too disgusting crime novel. So many think that the more debased the behavior the better the book, but NO this is high level decent entertainment and we thank you for it. I’ve gotta new author to read!

A few typos and mistakes, but the storyline was good. I looked forward to reading it each night.
  • No suspense

This was a frustratingly slow and boring novel—no suspense whatsoever, romance between two main characters lackluster. Two stars for being easy to read, despite being boring.
