Such a great book!! First, Con Man getting killed broke my heart. But what he said to Trevor right before he died said a lot. And made more sense as the book went on. Lana pushed Trevor away but when she needed him he came running. I couldn’t put it down. Loved it!!

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it. Make sure you set aside time to read this one. Once you start, you will not want to put it down. The plot was intriguing and full of suspense. There were some heartbreaking moments as well. I really felt for Lana. Torn between loving two men. Only when one proposes does she choose. I loved this fact that this book was written with a dual POV. Some may find it hard to believe that Lana could love both Mason and Trevor equally. That is why they call this fiction BUT I am sure it probably happens in real life as well. Ms. James writes in such a way that I could visualize the scenes in my mind just like watching a movie. This series is wonderful and I really hope it keeps going and going!!!

This was great romantic suspense book. I enjoyed the adventure and suspense aspect of the story, but I had a hard time with the romance. All I kept thinking is what is wrong with these people. Trevor and Lana were in love before she married his best friend. Best friend is killed in action (by traitors). They spend a year denying themselves of each other because of the killed best friend/husband. Now she's in trouble and first person she calls is him. And so the adventure begins. So I had some questions about the story: 1. Lana went to the FBI and it appears they did nothing. Why did they not do anything with an internal threat to national security? 2. What happened to the "radicals"? Overall a fun adventure.

An enjoyable book. Lots of action and some good romance. Trevor, Lana, and Mason were all friends. Both men loved Lana, but she married Mason. Mason is killed in action and tells Trevor to watch over Lana. When she digs too deep someone comes after her to keep her quiet, and she asks Trevor for help. The meat of the story was enjoyable, especially the action. There were a few things that bothered me a bit. Mostly that both characters weren't sure if they should act on their feelings for the other and it was stated a few times more than I would have liked. But overall, I give it 4 stars.
