Taco Truck for the win!

Wrapped Up In You is the latest installment in the Heartbreaker Bay series by Ms. Shalvis. Ivy has made her dream come true and owns her food truck, Taco Truck, outright and is close to finally being able to own her own home. The Taco Truck is a huge hit and business is booming for her. Kel is visiting his cousin Caleb after being injured on the job and first visits the Taco Truck when he is hungry but ends up meeting up with Ivy at the Taco Truck during a visit to one of the local pubs.
On one of the worst nights of Ivy's business life, Kel is the man that comes in to help her. Definitely not save the day since she can do that herself but this meeting ended up making Kel's visit to his cousin much more interesting.
Ivy had a difficult home life growing up and unfortunately it has come back to cause issues for her and Kel cannot resist taking his skill set and protecting what is now his. With the support of the who Heartbreaker Bay family and especially his cousin Caleb.
This is a great addition to the Heartbreaker Bay series that will keep you excited about the friends, really family, that all live there and whet your appetite for more. And really, any novel that begins with some butt- kicking (ok, kickboxing) at 6am in the morning can't be bad!

I probably say this with each subsequent Jill Shalvis book that I read, but I'm going to say it again. This one is absolutely my favorite of the series. And it is, so far. 😍 WRAPPED UP IN YOU was just such an enjoyable read, filled with characters and situations that had me smiling a LOT, and laughing out loud more than once. Figure in the camaraderie, the affection between family, and friends that feel like family, and two main characters that are perfect for each other, and I was absolutely in romance heaven.
Kel and Ivy had me smiling from their first fiery meeting, and, even though they might not have known it, it was clear that there was no turning back for either one of them. Sure, each of them put on an 'I'm just fine by myself, and I don't need anyone' front, but, come on, it's Jill Shalvis, and it's Heartbreaker Bay. Nobody escapes the magic of that danged Cow Hollow fountain. These two were goners before they even realized it.
I've found that the books in this series always have a little bit of everything. There's emotion, attraction, angst, and a touch of suspense, and WRAPPED UP IN YOU has its share of each. Rather than end up in a weird mishmash, each piece fits together perfectly, making for one heck of a satisfying read. This book is not only another great addition to the Heartbreaker Bay collection, but to my growing list of holiday reads. The epilogue alone is a gift that will stay with me, and the perfect ending to this heartwarming read. If you're looking for a feel-good read with a storyline that will reel you in, characters that will steal your heart, and smiles and sexiness galore, this is the book for you. Read it (and the rest of the series!) and enjoy. ❤️
Loved it!

If I don’t know what to read, anything by Jill Shalvis is a homerun and this is no exception. She has brought together two people who hide their true selves behind a facade of what they want others to see. Both, for different reasons, are outside looking in and wanting to belong. Ivy, for the first time, has found real friends (even though she doesn’t always realize it) who will be there for her. Kel (even though he has family that he cares for) doesn’t really put himself out there emotionally as he’s been hurt by both family and friends. I love connecting stories and catching up with previous couples but you don’t need to read their stories first to read this one but you’ll want to eventually.

A little break away from the original core group of characters that are the focus of the first books of the series. If you have read the other books you will recognize the Taco Truck and it’s amazing food. This time we get the whole background on Ivy’s life and the adversity she has overcome. Caleb (from book 7 in the series) has a cousin come to visit for a few weeks, Kel. Ivy and Kel’s relationship sparks hot right away. It’s touch and go as to weather or not they will be able to work through all their personal stuff. A grand gesture is always great to see as well. Heartbreaker bay is my favorite Jill Shalvis series to date. I really want to visit San Francisco and Sonoma now too.

Jill Shalvis’ latest offering in the Heartbreaker Bay series was fresh, unique and entertaining. I truly could not put down this story about Ivy and Kel. Ivy has had a very challenging upbringing and a past that continues to disrupt her future. Kel has his own set of issues regarding his mom. Neither of them are looking for a relationship and have built up walls. They seem to surviving life and not living it. This book will keep you riveted through the twists and turns that are part of Wrapped Up in You!

Kel O’Donnell will do anything for his friends and except let them in. When he met Ivy he had no idea they this woman would change his life. Can he learn to trust and forgive? These two complete each other so much perfectly! Love this series!!
From baggage to a future filled with endless possibilities

This is by far my favorite Jill Slavis series. Her characters are always people that you can relate to they are real flaws and all. Kel is first introduced to the reader in the Animal Magnetism series and Ivy has been a member of the Heartbreaker Bay series for a while now. Even though this book is a part of a series this novel can still be read as a stand alone novel. Ivy has spent her life trying to overcome her family history. She has spent her life on the road moving from town to town and wants to put down roots. Through her hard work and perseverance she makes a life for herself in San Francisco. She has goals and they do not include a hunky law enforcer from out of town or her wayward brother. Ivy wants to make her food truck a success and purchase her own condo. A place that she can call her own. Kel shows up to help out his friends while he was on a forced leave from his position. He meets Ivy when he is trying to figure out what he needs to do for himself. Kel has no plans to move to San Francisco he is only there temporarily. He is there working through betrayal and abandonment by people close to him. The last thing that he is looking for is love. From their first meeting there was an obvious shared chemistry. They also had HUGE walls up and tons of baggage. Kel and Ivy start out as friends and then start to fall. They start chipping away at each other’s walls while also working through their family baggage. It is a wonderful story of the power of forgiveness, letting go of the past while moving on to a new future with endless possibilities.

I always love Jill Shalvis books and this one is one of her better ones. Trust is such a hard thing for anyone who has been burned. When both have been burned it is even harder. Watching Kel and Ivy are a couple who have both been burned and watching them fall can be a bit painful. But oh so worth it!
A heartfelt, read in one sitting romance

I was beyond excited to see that Kel was going to be featured in Wrapped Up in You. I remember him from the Animal Magnetism series and was so happy to hear he was going to be the main love interest in Wrapped Up in You.
I absolutely loved Ivy. She's bit of tough nut, continuously moving from place to place and never settling down, but you can tell that she wants to. The awesome people of Heartbreaker Bay are not letting her go easily. They encourage her to open up, to be a part of their family. Ivy, of course, resists whole lot, but they wear her down.
Ivy keeps a lot of things close to her chest and also has a tendency to lie about her family. On one hand, it's not cool, but on the other hand I get it. Ivy's family doesn't have the most stellar reputation and she doesn't want people to know about it. However, Ivy does come to the realization that they are true friends and won't judge her for it.
I loved Kel and Ivy together. Kel worked to push her boundaries and help her to see her true potential. He was a tad frustrating at time (what male isn't) but had a good heart.
My only issue with Wrapped Up in You is a small one. The plot involving Ivy's brother added to the story, but I felt like it got wrapped up super quick at the end, I wish there had been a little more there.
As always, Jill Shalvis comes through with a heartfelt book that was impossible to put down. A one sitting read for sure!

This was another wonderful story in this series by Jill Shalvis that I simply can't get enough of. I love that in each book we get bits and pieces of what is happening with the previous couples we've met as well as another epic love story with our main characters. And that fountain, what a great story that ties everyone together. In this book we have Ivy and Kel. Ivy is a great female lead character and has been through a lot so she has some secrets she keeps as a survival instinct. She is an independent woman but some times to a fault. Kel is strong and true and has his own baggage. He is a rancher and sheriff in Idaho so he is also only there on a temporary basis. They have some chemistry that's as spicy as Ivy's tacos! Ivy needs to guard her heart but she is having a hard time with that. I love this couple so much, Kel is swoony as all get out! And their story has some of everything good in a romance book, including some suspense. I hope this series goes on for a long time because each time I feel like I've come home.
