Description

INSTANT #1 NEW YORK TIMES AND WALL STREET JOURNAL BESTSELLER

“Fast-paced...pulse-pounding...supremely entertaining…His best ever.” —The Washington Times

“This might be the single greatest thriller I’ve covered....It’s amazing!” —The Real Book Spy

Scot Harvath returns in the newest thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author Brad Thor.

The world’s largest bounty has just been placed upon America’s top spy. His only hope for survival is to outwit, outrun, and outlast his enemies long enough to get to the truth.

But for Scot Harvath to accomplish his most dangerous mission ever—one that has already claimed the lives of the people closest to him, including his new wife—he’s going to need help—a lot of it.

Not knowing whom he can trust, Harvath finds an unlikely ally in Norwegian intelligence operative Sølvi Kolstad. Just as smart, just as deadly, and just as determined, she not only has the skills, but also the broken, troubled past to match Harvath’s own.

Reviews

  • Thor must be a fan of John Wick

Scot Harvath has a bounty on his head and has to fight/torture his way to the person who issued it. Sound familiar - except John Wick wasn’t an alcoholic. To think that a guy who was s..t-faced drunk every day for weeks can suddenly transform in the apex predator is incredulous.
  • Same old same old

Nothing exciting. Probably one of Thor’s weakest books.

This still continues off the last two books. He gives the back story of the two books. Again we wrap it up in a last few chapters. I had a feeling we had a new LOVE Interest. It’s a decent read. Just one main story here.

While I always feel like these books spend too much time rehashing earlier exploits to provide the background for the current story, it’s a great series, there are always a few insightful gems, and the author always delivers an exciting story for his readers (eventually!). Keeps me coming back for more. Twenty already, congratulations Mr. Thor! I look forward to the 21st!
  • Another great addition to the Scot Harvath series.

Once I get into these books, get the lay of the land & back story, I can’t stop reading I have to see how each story ends. Thanks Brad for providing such great entertainment & escape. Your detail of the locations almost makes me feel like I am there & adds things to my bucket list. Omaha beach has always been on there once I found out my grandfather landed there in D-day, now the church is on my list. Thank you.

Good story, easy read and I await Mr. Thor’s next book. Not five stars because it was so predictable.
  • Starting to Stray

Not one of his best efforts. Mr. Thor is starting to stray from his writing strength — which is action and adventure — to deep character development and complex interpersonal relationships. He may one day be good at it in a different format or context, but he is not yet there, and this is not the format. The book could have been a great deal shorter and it is almost as if, at the end, he said: “OK, time to wrap this up in the next 10 pages; let’s get it done with a nod to ‘next book’.”
