Description

“The most powerful spiritual healer, fixer, teacher on the planet.” —Oprah Winfrey

The #1 national bestseller from the host of the show Iyanla: Fix My Life on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) that answers the question: What’s love got to do with it in the meantime?

You know where you want to be, but you have no clue how to get there. You know exactly what you want in life, but what you want is nowhere in sight. Perhaps your vision is unclear, your purpose still undefined. On top of it all, your relationships, particularly your romantic relationships, are failing. If these scenarios feel familiar way down in the deepest part of your gut—then you, my dear, are smack dab in the middle of the meantime.

Every living being wants to experience the light of love. The problem is that our windows are dirty! The windows of our hearts and minds are streaked with past pains and hurts, past memories and disappointments. In this book, Iyanla Vanzant teaches us how to do our mental housekeeping so that we can clean the windows, floors, walls, closets, and corners of our minds. If we do a good job, our spirits will shine bringing in the light of true love and happiness.

It took me two years to work through the meantime. I would make it to the next level then realize I was still in the basement. I'm proud to say that I have completed every level and it feels awesome to live in the Attic!!

This book has been a stabilizer for me for the past 14 years. Ever time I find myself in a space for healing this is my source. I have read it some many times over the years and each time I pick it up and read it speaks to my current situation and takes me on the next step of my journey in a loving way. You will feel as if this book is about you and your life and how to heal it. Iyanla has done an excellent job on presenting the issues in such a way that you will be blown away by the realness, the truth of what she writes. This book is a keeper for life and I assure you it will be there for you every time you need clarity and to start loving yourself again. I am so grateful for iyanla and her experiences which now provide healing and sanity for all who need it. I rate this in my top 5 best ever books!

Absolutely awful which is a shame considering how much I adore Iyanla Vanzant. I kept hoping that in another 10 mins. the "good" bits will come up but unfortunately the content as well the delivery was not up to par with I have come to associate with Ms. Vanaznt's standards. Don't buy.

This book is to relationships what 'the Big Book' is to a 12 step program. Well before the 'He's Just Not That Into You' phenomenon, this book was and remains the definitive guide for dropping the denial that keeps one bound to clinging to Mr. Or Mrs. Wrong. But all in a loving and empowering manner.
