Poor Ending

Great book but poor ending. I had to read it twice to make sure I didn’t miss a chapter.

Even though it was typical Koontz novel it was touching. He, again, focused on golden retrievers, but he expanded into the magic mystery behind their eyes. He always gives you some information that you would never think of, this time I learned about light houses! Good job Dean. Looking forward to the next one.

I gave up on Koontz early in the 90s. He writing style seemed choppy to me as if written by a formulaic algorithm designed to write coherent stories but, instead, included discordant and nonsensical passages. I feel nothing has changed. There are too many things
in this story that should have been revised or omitted altogether. Convolution is not entertaining, rather discordant and dismissive of the reader’s time and intellect.
