Description

It's not every day you ask your older brother's teammate to be your fake boyfriend. But desperate times call for gorgeous, impulsive measures.

Miles Garrett is a pro basketball player with a heartstopping smile and infamous cocky charm.

But to me, he's always been more than a celebrity. Miles is the guy who puts friends and family first…and my college crush.

When my sorority sister decides to bring my ex to our reunion, I need a plus-one who can have my back and save my pride. Asking Miles is the perfect solution.

Until he raises the stakes for both of us.

He says he's only playing to win. He'll be the best fake boyfriend I've ever had.

But his gaze hunts mine across a crowded room. He protects me with a fierceness that steals my breath. Our just-for-show kisses ignite a wildfire inside me.

I'm fighting feelings that have been simmering for years. Soon our pretend relationship starts feeling dangerously legit…

Because it's hard to fake what's always been real.

Hard to Fake is a pro basketball romance with banter, spice, and all the swoony vibes. It's the first book in the Denver Kodiaks series. Binge Miles and Brooke's entire addictive story today!

It has some of your favorite troupes and was a great read for the two days I read it. Though I will admit I love a good cliffhanger this one is off the charts and I can get the second one so I’ll have to add it to my list of great books to get at the book store.

It would be 5 stars if it wasn’t a cliffhanger. This is a well written story with interesting characters and I’d love to know how it ended. I usually don’t get caught out like this anymore but I must have missed the cues when I picked this one up. Reader beware, you’ll have to buy multiple books to get the whole story.

DO NOT BOTHER. This is yet another author shamelessly breaking her novels into sections and selling them as complete. It is not complete it is a partial novel. The story line cuts off abruptly and you have to purchase two more books at full novel prices to read the entirety. I detest this trend and drop authors from my reading list when they indulge in it. Be honest and just charge $12 for the book.
  • Don’t bother reading.

This should be labeled as an extended sample. It’s a slow dragged out story set up/prologue to force one to buy the next books in the series.

Read this one for free, and I ended up buying the other two in the series because I loved the couple so much. Both of the characters are so sweet and they have great chemistry. I also really liked the whole team and friend group and the main characters’ separate friendships if that’s something you enjoy in a book. Lately I haven’t liked many romance books because a lot of authors make the characters do toxic or cruel things just to create conflict in the plot, so I really appreciated that conflict in this series was always external things that these two worked through together and always treated each other with respect and support. I’m not usually into the sports setup, but this one was super heartwarming :)
