After the typical yearlong wait, this version had a story line tough to believe and felt like it was written with a hidden agenda.

Very few authors in the thriller genre can match the caliber of Brad Thor’s storytelling. Along with Daniel Silva and David Baldacci, Thor stands out for his ability to craft fast-paced, intelligent narratives that both entertain and resonate. While some writers rely on repetitive tropes or overused character backstories that bog down the plot, Thor’s novel moves with urgency and precision towards a payoff that feels both timely and satisfying. Drawing clear parallels to current events, Thor’s latest novel is not just entertaining, it left me wishing that the clarity and convictions of his lead characters could find their way to those whose self-interest overshadow public service. Well done.
  • Too short - expect more

Seems like some authors are more interested in cranking out “fast” and “short” stories than deeper, more intricate ones. Not worth the money. Felt like it was over before it started - pretty predictable as well. Hard pass

It’s the 4th of July, Scot Harvard and Sølvi have returned from their travels and are now back in the United States, and of all places, Washington D.C.. They return to find themselves amongst protesters and suspicious subjects, placing items under a vehicle. Not being born yesterday, Scot knows what’s about to happen, takes cover in his vehicle, and uses his body to shield Sølvi. It’s not over yet; gunmen show up and begin to take out protesters. The Harvaths spring into action. The action does not end there; it continues throughout the book, adding conspiracies and violence. When I thought Brad Thor was slowing Scot Harvath down, he is head deep in it. Non-stop action, great plot, and fantastic characters! An amazing read. Highly recommend!!!

Enjoyed the book, can easily see how, with the snakes in the Obama and Biden gvt, a bunch of anti US losers could pull something akin against Trump. I have always felt Congress is a cess pool, the only bigger cess pool, the intelligence agencies. Enjoy the book.
