Excellent read. Characters well developed and Harris captures the reader

An Officer And A Spy is the fictionalization of the role of George’s Picquart’s role in the Dreyfus affair in France around 1900. It is an excellent story that really translates to our current times with mob rule and government overreach. An excellent read with better lessons.

The details of the scandalous Dreyfus Affair are splendidly laid out in this page turner. Harris is to be thoroughly congratulated for his evocation of the era and attitudes.

So well written and captivating that I could not out it down.

One of the most shocking events of the end of the 19 Century narrated with great talent. What happened to Dreyfus basic human rights in a democracy show the dangers of excessive power and abuse of it. I read it almost in one seating, could not stop.

A very eloquent and well written account of this sad affair. A page turner.

For spy story fans and European history buffs, here is a superb combination of both.
