Description

Fans who can’t get enough of USA Today bestselling author Stacey Kennedy will love this wicked, wild spinoff, a short novel that explores how sexy life can be outside Club Sin.

Mary Schmidt knows only too well how thrilling a Master’s touch can be. Her husband, Charles, had been her ultimate fantasy, a seducer in the dance of dominance and submission. She misses the sensual lifestyle they shared, but mourns him so deeply she cannot bear to embrace her submissive needs with another Dom—until a man who exudes temptation reawakens desires she can no longer deny.

Elliott Foster is dazzled by Mary. He instantly knows that she’s the woman he’s been waiting for—a woman who turns games into need. As her Master, he dares to unlock the deepest pleasures of her flesh, releasing her from pain and healing her mind. When Mary’s lithe body comes to life under his, he knows their connection goes beyond sex. Now that he has found the perfect woman, the perfect partner, the perfect submissive, he desires only to give her everything she craves.

Freed is intended for mature audiences.

Fantastic Series. HOT, HOT, HOT. In my opinion, better than FSOG. TRULY AMAZING!! Each book, becomes more addictive, leaving you breathless for the next book's release. Unlike a lot of other series, each book is different than the one before. However, they are still able to maintain the overall Club Sin thematic patterning. Warning the series contains BDSM, and is not for young readers, or those to Vanilla to withstand erotic romance, toe curling sex, lust, and mind-boggling pleasure.

Not only was it a pleasant surprise to see Mary get her own story, it was also lovely to see a mature romance with characters in their early fifties. After reading this, I can only hope to be as energetic as this couple. We learned very little about Mary throughout the series except that she and her late husband, Charles had been a part of the BDSM lifestyle and were very much in love. However, after his death four years ago, she never moved on. Even going so far as to quit the lifestyle completely. If that didn’t tell you the depth of her anguish, the flashbacks to key scenes between her and Charles certainly highlighted why she couldn’t get over him. I was a little surprised by how hard she tried to put up barriers with Elliott, only allowing him to skim the surface of her submission but not willing to fully submit. As their journey continued, it became clear that she was living in the past, not only hurting herself but Elliott too. Elliott. Wow. He was the full package – handsome, successful, dominant, caring and compassionate. There was nothing about him that I didn’t love. I thought it was so sweet that he asked Dmitri in a roundabout way about pursuing Mary. Sort of like getting a son’s blessing. He was incredibly patient with her despite the mixed signals he was receiving. I felt a little sorry for him at times, but I admire that he wanted to give them a fair chance with everything he had. Forget about book boyfriends, Elliott was book husband material. The things this man could do were off the charts HOT! The story was fast-paced, therefore the physical happened very early on. A reviewer mentioned a lack of character development, and while it certainly appeared so, I felt differently. For a more mature couple in the BDSM scene, they already had common ground with known rules, and they were already set in life. He had no children, she had grown children, they both had secure jobs, Dmitri basically vouched for both of them; I couldn’t see them acting with as much trepidation as a much younger couple might have. We knew about Mary’s past and miserable present and got to meet her daughter who gave er a little nudge. Mary’s flashbacks were key to understanding her behavior. She took everything her husband had said very literally. My heart ached for her for feeling like moving on would be a betrayal, all the while feeling things for the living, breathing man who wanted to offer her everything she could ask for. The conflict was resolved rather quickly as well, but she’d already begun the process of listening to her daughter and questioning her choices by then. The fast turn around didn’t surprise me after her explanation. The epilogue alone was worth all the trouble these two went through to find happiness. *Complimentary copy provided by the publisher for the purpose of an honest review*
