Well, to be honest, I’m not surprised at how amazing this book was; it was written by Christine! The DETAIL is absolutely breathtaking and immaculate! I am at awe at how they love each other. I can’t put it into words on how unbelievable and unreal it was to feel the love they have for one another! It’s like I was there for it all, the changing into an owl, the souls healing and loving each other. The love making, dear Jesus!!! 20/10 recommend!
  • Poorly Done!

I had to force myself to finish this book. I assumed the book would have substance much like the initial 5 to 6 books in the series. This was poorly constructed; much of the book is about a supposedly highly intelligent woman mooning over a man in a cave. By the time they exit the cave, the plotless story reaches its end. This was a total waste of time and poorly done by the author. This left me with the impression that the author was in a rush to meet a deadline and simply threw something together.

I loved this book. Took me back to the beginning of the series when the stories were just about two ppl falling in love with one another. Great job. Teagan is a black girl so loved that. Her personality matched cause I can imagine a black coming across a Carpathian and totally rambling on and on in her head. Lol. I know she went on about his beauty but I think ghost needed that seeing as how he was the “ghost”. Thanks for the good read.
  • What happened to this series?!

I am very disappointed. This novel is nothing like her first books in this series. The storyline appears incomplete and the only reason I finished reading the book is because of the price I paid. I COMPLETELY regret purchasing this one. The characters seemed 'flat', repeating the same conversations. I had to jump parts for my sanity. What happened to the Carpathian series? Very disappointing....

The series started out good but is going downhill very fast. Too much sex and too little story. Ms Feehan we read your books for the romance, adventure, comedy, fantasy etc.... Please give us that again. We do not want porn. Please listen to your readers.

I have always enjoyed this book series but lately there is no time spent developing and exploring the good guys versus villain. The last few books have lacked her usual approach that was so intriguing...please go back to that approach!!!

I agree with the other reviewers, this book was TERRIBLE! It was long and monotonous. How many times could she bite her lip, how many times did she think how beautiful her man was. No plot, no nothing. Literally two characters in a cave the entire book. Totally ridiculous! Totally disappointed! Read in one day just to finish it. Flipped through a lot of monotony. Shame on you Christine, I even saw a couple of typos in the hard copy. I have read all of the Dark Series and I agree that the last few books have been seriously lacking. If you're out of steam ADMIT IT! Stop wasting our time and money.

I usually love Christine Feehan's books. I've read all of them and unfortunately I thought this was the worst one yet. Very boring and couldn't finish it. I hope the next book is better.

Awful. No plot. Couldn't wait for it to be over. I would go so far as to say it was even stupid. Nonsensical. One never-ending pedantic thought.

I am a huge Christine Feehan fan. I have read all her books. Some of them multiple times. The last three to four books have been a huge disappointment. What I've always enjoyed about her earlier books was the mix of Carpathians in the storyline. This story was depicted almost entirely in a cave with only two characters. It was very monotonous and I found myself flipping through pages just to get through it. That is the experience I've had with the last three books I've read of hers. I will wait till her next book is at the library. I will not pay for another book until I see that she has started writing like her old self again.
