If anyone can make her feel like the belle of the ball, it’s him

Taylor Harris – Marietta, Montana’s new librarian–is the quiet type who likes her glamour between the pages, but not in her own life. When she’s pushed into attending the formal Valentine Ball with Marietta’s Most Eligible Bachelor, Troy Sheenan, Taylor can’t imagine a worse pairing. What in the world would she have in common with a wealthy playboy like Troy?

Technology tycoon Troy is forced by business concerns to return to his hometown and take the town librarian to the Valentine Ball… what he doesn’t expect is that Taylor is even less excited about the prospect than he is! Intrigued by the only woman in town who wouldn’t be thrilled to take his arm at the big event, he’s determined that she will not just agree to be his date… but she’s going to like it.

Can Taylor turn a cold shoulder to Troy’s heart-melting charms, or is this about to be Marietta’s hottest Valentine’s Ball yet?

From USA Today bestselling author Jane Porter comes an opposites-attract Valentine's Day tale complete with a small-town ball

Another terrific storyline by Jane Porter, BUT it just ends abruptly! …no Epilogue or closing paragraphs! I feel as if I just slammed on the brakes at the edge of a cliff… Therefore, I took away one star… 😔😞😢 To be honest, I rarely purchase and read a book unless it’s 300+ pages. I just read them too quickly... However, I will break that rule for authors I really enjoy! From her first novel that I read, ‘Oh, Christmas Night’ (which I absolutely ADORED, except for the length), I quickly discovered that Jane Porter writes very entertaining dialogue and terrific storylines, all taking place within and around an adorably charming and quaint historical hometown populated with an awesome community of character! So, for her I will waive my 300+ page rule. I gotta say, though, JANE, I would seriously appreciate if you’d flesh out your “too short” books, and really put more “meat” into each of them! I’d honestly be thrilled to purchase them all AGAIN, and would expect to pay a higher price per each. Please give it some consideration, won’t you…? Thank you! Renée 🤓🙏♥️🙏♥️🙏♥️🙏

I'm a book girl, so finding a book girl who gets her HEA appeals to me! Taylor is an intelligent librarian on track to be in charge when the head librarian retires. She's also the guardian for her brother who has emotional problems. New to town, she hides behind glasses and clothing she thinks she's supposed to wear to fit the job description rather than clothing that makes her comfortable in her job. Her friend sets her up to attend the ball with the hottest guy in town--Troy Sheehan! Troy's a Tech mogul and a playboy. He loves intelligent women and finds Taylor fascinating. Little by little, he gets her to come out of her shell and share her secrets with him. Turns out the playboy was waiting for a book girl like Taylor. Both have passion and understanding for protecting family. And, that's not the only thing they have in common! This is a fabulous story that warms the heart for all of us 'book girls!" Buy it, you won't be disappointed!

The Tycoons's Kiss by Jane Porter, is the second novella in Montana Born's Taming of the Sheenan's series. Taylor Harris is small-town Montana girl who recently moved to Marietta to take over as Head Librarian. Troy Sheehan was voted Marietta's Most eligible bachelor and is their own golden boy success story. Troy is back in town because he restored the town's famed Graff Hotel and his father is very ill. Taylor, a self-proclaimed introvert who would rather stay home and read a book, is happy to be part of the committee organizing the Valentine's Ball, but is not happy when her friend Jane sets her up to be Troy's date for the ball. When they meet unexpectedly, Taylor realizes Troy isn't what she expected, but still turns him down. After a few more encounters, and a conversation with a new friend, she realizes it is time to stop fading into the woodwork and agrees to attend with Troy, "as friends." Jane Porter is wonderful at creating characters that feel like people you would know. She gives the main characters depth and imperfect lives that readers are able to relate to, while also creating secondary characters that you hope to revisit in future stories. My only complaint is that the novella ended too soon. The saving grace is that there are five Sheenan brothers, and so there are hopefully three more stories in this series! I can't wait to read the rest of the Sheenan stories.

"Well. we both know that most boys are fools. Let's just say I personally think book girls should rule the world." - Troy Sheenan Troy Sheenan a technology tycoon and Marietta's Most Eligible Bachelor and Taylor Harris- Marietta, Montana's librarian and total opposites as night and day. You know what they say about opposites attract. Troy feels the spark with there first kiss, but decides to play Jane's game. Troy has also returned to Marietta due to his father's illness and he has heavily invested into The Graff Hotel. He has restored The Graff Hotel because his mother was the one that showed and made him understand "that beauty was transformative, and there was value in beautiful things.' "Sometimes we do things because we think it's the right thing to do even when everyone else tells you you're wrong." Taylor continues to ignore Troy. Bemused, Troy's little mouse has rejected him. She does not want to attend the ball with him. This is an easy read. Characters have there own personal dilemmas to tend to. Well written, story easily flows. Main characters are appealing, alluring, and captivating. A review copy of this book was provided by the publisher.
