Description

Lurking inside each and every one of us is a dream—a desire to do something other than clock in and out of a safe job that doesn’t quite feel right. It takes a serious amount of courage to abandon a secure gig to pursue your true passion in life, but the rewards are great. And it’s never too late. Just look to Tito, the founder of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, who spent years toiling in the mortgage business and the oil and gas industry before realizing at one pivotal cocktail party that he was “the vodka guy” at heart—a moment that spurred him to drop everything and devote himself to his now world famous company.

In partnership with Tito’s Handmade Vodka and their Fresh Start program, we’ve invited seven members of our community to share the moment of passion that led them to chase their dream wholeheartedly. With a special introduction from Tito Beveridge, this book will challenge you to think deeply about your life's path and inspire you to take a leap and bet on yourself. Just for good measure, Thought Catalog and Tito's have also included seven delicious cocktail recipes for your between-chapter enjoyment. So sit back, relax, and prepare to be inspired into your very own #TitoMoment.

It’s awesome to see a literary take on the self-help genre. All these stories read like poetry but are also very uplifting and practical, which is fresh for a genere that is normally all about advice without the back story.
  • Finally, an inspirational book that’s actually authentic!

Truthfully, I hate the self-help section of the bookstore because it feels so phony. But this book isn’t the typical self-help book. It is so much more than that—a compilation of truthful first person stories written by professionals in various fields (the writer Ryan Holiday and the comedian Rob Fee stand out) detailing how they made their dreams a reality in spite of any obstacles they faced along the way. Read it and see how quick you are to start tackling your own goals!

Even with the obvious tie-in from Tito’s, when I got into each writer’s story, including Tito himself, there was a truly inspirational spark and learning moment I could take (and have taken) with me.
