Description

He bought her by mistake. Now he has figure out what to do with her.

She prayed for death.
Stolen from her home, sold for her innocence, all Ara Detton wanted was death. One man stood in her way, Caine Farlington. Ara is forced to survive, forced to rebuild her life. A life that is orderly, busy—with a destiny that is her own. All would be perfect, if not for having to hide her love for the man that once saved her. The man that forced her to live, to survive, to flourish.

He refuses to let her go.
In search of his missing betrothed, Caine Farlington, the Earl of Newdale, quite by accident, saves Ara from the worst possible fate. Six years later, Ara is an indispensable part of his life—even if he has to curb his need to touch her at every turn.

The one you love is not always the one you think you need.
Neither one of them is prepared to let the other go. But to remain together, both must find redemption and learn to forgive secrets of the past.

Note: The Lords of Action books are each stand-alone stories, and can be read individually in any order. These historical romances are set in the Regency and Victorian eras, and do not shy away from naughty language, scenes with heat, and moments that might possibly make you squirm.

Absolutely in love with this series and every book written by this author. Can’t stop reading!! Prince Charming with a roughness to his character.

I stopped reading when she was standing outside the brothel because she wanted to save a kidnapped girl. He saved her twice even when she was begging to die. Now, she wants him to stop human trafficking by himself. She was acting childish, annoying, and ungrateful. I couldn’t keep reading.
  • Writing was a challenge

I wanted to read this based on the plot description, but couldn’t get past the first 50 pages. The main male character says the female’s name in nearly every sentence he speaks to her, which was just too distracting and unnatural to keep me in the story. The rest of the writing was fine, but the dialogue just didn’t work.

A must read!! I was caught up in it on the first chapter. The kidnapping of young girls is still going on in 2016 & I so admired the way they fought to help helpless victims and a little romance always makes the story better 😍😍

A wonderful story of redemption ,trust, spirit of the human heart and soul, commitment and love. The sadness in our world that there will always be human trafficking, the complete horror of it and that man will be so evil with life. The strength in our world that hopefully there will be someone to fight the fight for those lives. This is a powerful theme that stands the test of time. When is it long enough to forgive oneself?i think many a human has asked that question I love the answer given....When one has found home. I was very touched by this story and I highly recommend it to read and savor. Lisa d
