This piece speaks directly to the heart of what ails each and every person in the Black community today, myself included. Inspiring, illuminating and informative, I could not put it down until I reached the end. You will not regret picking it up. Trust me!

I like how informative this was, in the same breath it was in plain words. So anyone could understand that point the author was making.

i like the knowledge and perspective it gave me. this book answered why myself, my dad struggled with identity. and why he could not give me the answer more thoroughly. i survive and want to keep fighting, others do not. Firstly I must say that this is my first read in some years, and has completely reignited my interest in black literature in an effort to gain an understanding of the plight of my people. Bravo

I love this book, it is well put together, it has motivated me to read more books , reading about the black communities and what is happening to our black men in today’s society is really sad…
