Description

New York Times Bestselling Author Sarah MacLean returns with the next book in the Bareknuckle Bastards series about three brothers bound by a secret that they cannot escape—and the women who bring them to their knees.

The Lady’s Plan

When Lady Henrietta Sedley declares her twenty-ninth year her own, she has plans to inherit her father’s business, to make her own fortune, and to live her own life. But first, she intends to experience a taste of the pleasure she’ll forgo as a confirmed spinster. Everything is going perfectly…until she discovers the most beautiful man she’s ever seen tied up in her carriage and threatening to ruin the Year of Hattie before it’s even begun.

The Bastard’s Proposal

When he wakes in a carriage at Hattie’s feet, Whit, a king of Covent Garden known to all the world as Beast, can’t help but wonder about the strange woman who frees him—especially when he discovers she’s headed for a night of pleasure . . . on his turf. He is more than happy to offer Hattie all she desires…for a price.

An Unexpected Passion

Soon, Hattie and Whit find themselves rivals in business and pleasure. She won’t give up her plans; he won’t give up his power . . . and neither of them sees that if they’re not careful, they’ll have no choice but to give up everything . . . including their hearts.

Loved this book. Loved the characters. Read the first bare knuckle bastard book first then this one. You’ll fall in love with the brothers.

I loved this book! Beast and Hattie are the perfect pair. Hattie is probably one of the strongest heroines that I’ve read in a long time. She knows what she wants and she wants Beast. To bad he really doesn’t understand that he wants her, but will not let himself have her. He does all he can to push her away and keep her safe. What he does not know is she just might be the one to save and protect him. Not a stand alone book. You must read Wicked and the Wallflower first.

What a riveting book! I like that it wasn’t about your typical swells snobs in Mayfair. Really showed a different, seedier side of London. Well done to the author. Can’t wait for the next!

I’ve given up on SM books. It’s not really a historical romance, it’s labeled under historical but it has the tone, dialogue and actions of a contemporary romance. This is not what takes place during that era or how people acted either. I could tell from just the sample that I read that this was going to be the same as some of her past romances. The story and characers actions just was too far fetched. And it seemed to be repetive and slow in many spots.

Not her best book or even close. Disappointing.

I’ve been a long time romance novel junky, but I had grown tired of the same old story lines—the usual prim virgin and the reformable rake. This tale was new and refreshing. Loved the quips and imperfect characters. Loved the how the characters strengthened each other and the story. I guess I can say I just LOVED it all! It’s been awhile since I found a book that I could not put down. ;-)

I was so looking forward to reading this book after Devil and Felicity's story, but I am sadly disappointed. It was just too much. Too many sidelines and so much extra "stuff" that really detracted from the story in my opinion. I got bored with it and skipped pages and pages. Whit was really kind of boring and Hattie was entirely too predictable and the story just dragged on and on. It was not what I was hoping for. I probably won't read the third book. Ewan and Grace's story doesn't hold any appeal for me after this.
