I loved this story. It is so amazing that Chick even pulled this off. I learned more than I ever knew about the Viet Nam war. Thank you for sharing this experience.

A really fun book. However unless you’re part of our generation it might not have the same impact. The story moves along and is as much as possible being set in the middle of a war. Also interesting is how the author’s politics evolve as he gets older.

Frightening and funny at the same time. Very accurate portrayal of an unpleasant part of US history. It brought back memories good and otherwise, from my time spent in Vietnam from 1968 to 1972. I need a beer.

Quick, interesting read about one man’s adventure in Vietnam to try and deliver beers to his friends from back home.

Outstanding read! Highly recommend as it takes you on a journey that is hard to put down, and also for anyone who is interested in the Viet Nam war .
