About the Book
The structure of the abdominal wall and the peritoneal cavity along with its contents are taught in this enhanced video book of the Human Anatomy Video Project series. An introduction to the abdomen is followed by a video of McBurney’s incision to emphasize the structure of the abdominal wall. The abdominal wall is further emphasized through a layer by layer dissection. The peritoneal contents are presented in overview including critical four quadrant structures and the course of the digestive tract. Finally, surface anatomy and physical examination of the abdomen are reviewed.
