I’m personally the type of person to want to do something and right after I do it, I’d give up. But holy my goodness, this book is straight up awesome. Not boring at all.

Read the e-book version, good introduction but there are lots of stuff left unexplained, like why do you do a .find sometimes and get() others. It has good examples but lacks explanations of the rules. I am reading the Python 3 tutorial now, which explains the rules but would have left me lost if it was the first book I had read. I have experience in FORTRAN and R. The other issue, and this may be an e-book issue is the lack of indents in the program examples. Python relies on relative indent levels for code structure and the book has no indent levels. A lot of trial and error to get some examples to run.
