AN INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

In Talia Hibbert’s newest rom-com, the flightiest Brown sister crashes into the life of an uptight B&B owner and has him falling hard—literally.

Featured on Parade, PopSugar, Marie Claire, Oprah Mag, Bustle, Shondaland, CNN.com, Kirkus Magazine, Bookpage, USA Today, Bookish, Bookriot, and more!

Eve Brown is a certified hot mess. No matter how hard she strives to do right, her life always goes horribly wrong. So she’s given up trying. But when her personal brand of chaos ruins an expensive wedding (someone had to liberate those poor doves), her parents draw the line. It's time for Eve to grow up and prove herself—even though she's not entirely sure how…

Jacob Wayne is in control. Always. The bed and breakfast owner’s on a mission to dominate the hospitality industry and he expects nothing less than perfection. So when a purple-haired tornado of a woman turns up out of the blue to interview for his open chef position, he tells her the brutal truth: not a chance in hell. Then she hits him with her car—supposedly by accident. Yeah, right.

Now his arm is broken, his B&B is understaffed, and the dangerously unpredictable Eve is fluttering around, trying to help. Before long, she’s infiltrated his work, his kitchen—and his spare bedroom. Jacob hates everything about it. Or rather, he should. Sunny, chaotic Eve is his natural-born nemesis, but the longer these two enemies spend in close quarters, the more their animosity turns into something else. Like Eve, the heat between them is impossible to ignore... and it’s melting Jacob’s frosty exterior.

Great read! This book emphasized the very important fact that autistic kids grow into autistic adults who need love too! Very witty and steamy read; a real page turner!

This 3 book series is so good. Highly recommend 🥺 I think Eves story ended up being my favorite though!

When I first started this series two weeks ago, I bought Get a Life on its own just to see if I’d like them. Of course when I finished, I just knew I had to get my hands on the other two! I certainly wasn’t prepared to have Eve’s story be my favorite. I see a lot of myself in Eve and in a way, this book was my therapy (or at least my nudge to start actual therapy again and not rely on old Paramore, ice cream, and romance novels). I’m fighting the urge to not immediately reread this story so I’m off to find another one of Talia’s to read!

If you haven’t already go back and read the other two books in the series. They’re all as wonderful as AYAEB. Eve and Jacob are so precious I found myself grinning like a fool every couple pages! 15/10 would recommend!

An easy, fun read that feels modern, fresh, and still makes you think about the world and all of the interesting beautiful people in it. Loved all three books about the Brown sisters, but this was my favorite!

I was really looking forward to reading this book due to the fact I loved the other two in the series but I found this book to be such a bore. Eve and Jacob were in their heads so much and the book was entirely too long for no reason, I found myself skipping multiple pages just to get to the actual dialogue between the characters. I finally stopped reading at the 65% mark. Maybe I will finish another time but I truly hated this book. I have purchased all of her previous work and have never felt this way.
  • Good — but not as good as the others

Still giving it 4/5 bc Hibbert is amazing and I will always pre order and read anything she writes! But when I recommend this series to friends, I’ll probably have them start on the other books first to get them hooked. (I did, however, really enjoy the fact that both characters are on the autistic spectrum. It was really well done in that regard.)

Why yes, I did cry four (or possibly more) times while reading this. This book was brilliant and wonderful and even better than I could have hoped for. I. Love. Eve. I love everything about her. I love her kindness and her willingness to give and her openness and her sense of humor and I love her growth in this book more than I can possibly say. I also loved Jacob and how much he fought his attraction to Eve and her chaos and possible unprofessionalism. I laughed through this whole book, I cheered, and clearly I cried. A perfect end to my very favorite series.
