Description

US Marshals Madison James and Jonas Quinn are thrust into a high-profile case when they are called on to transport two prisoners across the country on a private plane. But when the plane experiences engine trouble en route from the Pacific Northwest to Colorado, the pilots crash-land the aircraft deep in the heart of the sprawling Salmon-Challis National Forest.

When Madison and Jonas regain consciousness, they find both pilots and one prisoner dead--and one fugitive on the run. They'll have to negotiate the rugged and remote backcountry through Idaho, Wyoming, and Colorado while tracking a murderer who is desperate to disappear--and will do anything to stop them.

This high-octane game of cat-and-mouse from bestselling and award-winning author Lisa Harris will have your heart pumping as you try to catch a fugitive with nothing to lose.

I loved every part of this stay up late, can’t put it down winner. A plane crash, a manhunt, a mysterious black rose—from Seattle across the western United States to Texas and beyond, the action never stops in this heart pumping thrill ride. Madison and Jonas must use their finely honed skills to catch a escaped killer. For both this case is too close to home, pricking at past tragedy in each of their lives. Will they be able to navigate their personal issues, catch the fugitive, and walk out their budding attraction? I recommend this book to suspense lovers everywhere. I received an advance copy courtesy of Baker Publishing Group through NetGalley and this is my honest review.

THE ESCAPE...Lisa Harris Five years was not enough to escape the past, since learning her husband had died from a shooting. Feeling restless was thinking of transferring to the US Marshall office in Portland, and closer to her dad. Finding Jonas the man who trained her would be her partner. Assignment of transferring two dangerous criminal from Seattle to Denver, in a small plane, a storm, caused them to a crash landing. One was now dead, the other overtook Madison and her gun, is on the run. He was the most dangerous. A good beginning with several plots, who is leaving an item in her house on the anniversary of the death of her husband. The job that Jonas and Meredith do for the US Marshall office, and the hint of a romance. Will she move or stay in Seattle. Good characters with Madison and Jonas, and the touch of family.
