As a result of the high prevalence of thyroid conditions, nurses and other healthcare providers encounter thyroid dysfunctional patients every day. 6. Describe special considerations when diagnosing and treating thyroid dysfunction in older patients.
7. Discuss the management of the patient with thyroid disease.
