Description

She thought they were on the same side. That mistake cost her everything... including her freedom.

Anya dedicated her life to the fight against the alien invaders who had conquered Earth. Now that fight is over. The rebellion failed, the enemy won, and she knows exactly who to blame. He was her lover, her friend, and a spy for the aliens. Worse. He's one of them… and she's his prisoner.

His mission was to spy on the enemy, not fall for one of them.

Find the rebels, infiltrate them, and send back intel that would break the rebellion. Those were his orders. But once he was inside, Rett discovered everything they thought they knew about the human rebels was wrong. The enemy was more dangerous than they expected. They were cunning, determined, and female… and one of them was his mate.

Claiming her isn't permitted. Taking her prisoner might get him killed, but Rett won't stop until he has what he wants... her.

This series contains hot, growly aliens on a mission to find their mates - and a group of women determined to free their planet... and themselves.

Rett is the fifth book in the Omega Collective series. Rett has been infiltrating the human resistance, but as it crumbles, so does his cover. Anya, feeling utterly betrayed, just wants to start the resistance again and avoid all matters of the body and heart. She can’t deny how he makes her feel, but will she learn to trust again, or will her heart always belong to the resistance? Oh man, this book was so good! I felt like I was on pins and needles right from the very first page because of the broken trust, and I was just dying to know what would happen next! There’s so much goodness in this book, with the mixed emotions, with the betrayal, with the resistance, and the passion that Anya and Rett have! I just couldn’t look away! Anya is such a strong character, with her heart set on freeing humans, with her heart broken from thinking she knew who Rett was and realizing her world was completely rocked. She had a lot of think about during this book, a lot of information to consider, and as much as she thought with her head, she couldn’t resist what her heart was telling her. Rett played a dangerous game with the woman he knew was only his, but he was confident, he was bold, and he used any trick he could to possess Anya’s heart. They have amazing chemistry, some serious tension, and I just loved them together. There’s a lot of exciting things that happen in this book that had me on the edge of my seat, and I thought this was a fantastic addition to the series. I am definitely looking forward to the next book, too!

I admire Rett for his ability to infiltrate the rebel forces, for being a bit of a rebel himself. I love Anya. She’s an amazing woman, a warrior in her own right - accomplished in ways the H’thor cannot imagine of an omega. It is fascinating to watch these two making their way to shelter, encountering trials along the way, falling more deeply in love. I love it!There’s also a new, intriguing male - Nikk. I can’t wait to read his story!

The way these authors can bring to life the combination of an extremely dangerous alien and a sensitive mate in the H’thor makes this story so engaging. I, of course, identify with Anya. We as human females are strong, determined, and independent. To give in to these aliens is almost sacrilege, but these guys are more alpha protectors and givers than takers. But before Anya and Rett can reconcile there is a job to do and omegas to save. I highly recommend this thrilling tale.
