Just alright

Anderson and Herbert are not Frank Herbert, I think that's clear, but I do enjoy their continuations of the Dune-inverse. This one is sort of so-so and I could have just skipped it and went on to Children

Obviously this writing duo has improved over time. Many die hard fans have had a hard time swallowing the style, or lack there of, in some of the other prequels and postquels. I am pleased to say that this particular volume is a good read, not too fantastical, and adds to the whole Dune saga in a way that I think other Dune fans will appreciate.
