Description

#1 NATIONAL BESTSELLER • NOW A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE • The classic story that has captured the hearts of millions worldwide: a tragically wounded soul, the man called to marry her, and the only love that heals all.

“A literary masterpiece, reminding us that God’s love is unconditional.”—Debbie Macomber

California’s gold country, 1850. A time when men sold their souls for a bag of gold and women sold their bodies for a place to sleep.

Angel expects nothing from men but betrayal. Sold into prostitution as a child, she survives by keeping her hatred alive. And what she hates most are the men who use her, leaving her empty and dead inside.

Then she meets Michael Hosea, a man who seeks his Father’s heart in everything. Michael obeys God’s call to marry Angel and to love her unconditionally. Slowly, day by day, he defies Angel’s every bitter expectation, until despite her resistance, her frozen heart begins to thaw.

But with her unexpected softening comes overwhelming feelings of unworthiness and fear. And so Angel runs. Back to the darkness, away from her husband’s pursuing love, terrified of the truth she no longer can deny: her final healing must come from the One who loves her even more than Michael does . . . the One who will never let her go.

A powerful retelling of the story of Gomer and Hosea, Redeeming Love is a life-changing story of God’s unconditional, redemptive, all-consuming love.

Includes a six-part reading group guide!

It’s a great read I first read it when I was 12 (a 12 year old had no business reading this book but I grew up a bit fast) & I saw the movie mentioned on TikTok & I remembered how good the book was so I bought it. I’m 25 now by the way. It’s a great story of perseverance & having to find your own way. You can’t force people to a certain path but you can help lead them & let them find their own way.

This book took me on a journey. With ups and downs, first tattoos, pains… well worth it! You won’t regret picking this one up

A story of the truest love and Gods plans for Us. I’m so thankful to have read this. Such an amazing testament of love and forgiveness. Also a beautiful reminder that family is made up of those that show us love and acceptance, blood having nothing to do with it. I’ll forever think of Michael and his unwavering love for Angel, and trust in God.

This is probably my 10th time reading the book. It’s excellently written but that’s the least of it. After the first three times, I only read it when I feel compelled to. I often feel like the main character myself, like a slow melting ice cube, waiting to be freed from the pain of my past, pain of the church, of abuse. Wanting to change and feeling like I cannot despite many efforts. This particular time reading it has given me hope in yet another desolate season. I pray you’ll be as moved by it as I have.

This has to be one of the best books I have ever read. It’s emotional and raw. Showing the power of gods love and how it can change lives.

Though a lengthy book I found myself interested throughout and not willing to put it down! Francine wrote a beautiful love story that as Christian’s we can compare to Christ’s love for us and how we show Christ’s love through us. I highly recommend to anyone and am so glad I came by this book!

I absolutely loved this book! It gave me a new outlook on life and loving other people. This was my second time reading it after years, and it was just as good as the first time.
