What a wonderful, endearing series of stories that make a reader fall in love with words…and a Rat, Mole, Toad, Badger and Otter alike. The adventures are great. The humor is raucous. And, the storytelling is divine. My only regret is that there in only one novel to enjoy.

When my heart and mind need quieting, when the ills of this world are almost too, too much, when I need to retreat to a quiet place and think about something else, there is nothing as helpful in that regard as a classic tale of about wise and kind animals.

An exciting tale- amazing, captivating! And moments of beautiful description- Mr. Grahame writes eloquently, putting feelings to words with ease. I would definitely recommend it to middle schoolers and up- grownups too! It tells of emotional and physical conflict and a worthy read.

I haven't gotten it on my phone yet but I've read the first few pages and I'm at the toad house part, and I have no clue what's going on. It's extremely wordy and kinda hard to understand but I'm still giving it a chance.
