I read this for the first time yesterday, the day I saw "Man of Steel". And boy, was this a great way to prepare for the movie. While I said that Volume One was a decent read, Volume Two is an even better read; this is a sequel that is big time better than the first. What really sticks out for me is the relationship between Clark and his new neighbor, who is the Earth One version of Lana Lang. I love how he tells her about some things from his past. It's the first time Clark opens up to someone. This now my favorite pairing next to Clark and Diana. But of course, there's more where that came from. The villain in this comic is the Parasite. In this portrayal, they give him an original look and backstory. But I won't spoil the surprise for you. Surprisingly, I enjoyed Lois Lane in this comic, even though she was digging into Clark's past. It's because she's the investigative reporter like the way they portray her in the new movie. Then there's the cliffhanger in the ending. Yes, I actually liked this ending to this volume. There's a lot of buildup in this one. Again, I won't spoil the surprise. Now I'm just wondering how Volume Two of "Batman: Earth One" will do, because I said in the past, that I was enjoying it more than this series. I take it back. A lot in going on in this series, which is what makes it an enjoyable read. If you haven't already, buy this at your local book or comic book store. It's definitely worth every cent.

I've been a Superman fan since my childhood watching Superman on 'Kids WB', this comic is more for the mature audience and very well balanced that keeps the readers wanting to crave for more and more. The art is very impressive and the story is just well written and well thought of too. I'll definitely recommend this comic to anyone, I read it and enjoyed it a lot, can't wait for a new volume to come out this summer, but seriously download the sample if you don't believe me, you'll want to keep reading what will happen next and its worth the money, simply because you can have iCloud capabilities and just more fun that way. Give it a shot, I've downloaded both volumes of this series and it will be in part of my collection for a very long time.
  • Great!! A must read!!

I definatly prefer this interpretation over the direction new 52 action comics has taken.
