What a twisted plot that Ms. Ray wove. This story was an example of how simple wrong decisions can result in a lifetime of hatred, malice, and misunderstandings. It seemed that Abe, Samantha, Marlene, and Dillon, as well as Roman, had made wrong decisions in their lives and by righting that one wrong decision They were being released from the grasps of their personal hell. Samantha made peace with her grandfather and accepted the challenge of making his wish come true while helping Dillon to release his demons and open his heart. Once Marlene was able to let go of the past she too was able to open her heart. I believe that all of them learned a lesson in the phrase, "You don't miss a good thing until it's gone"...or almost gone. Abe, in his death learned that lesson as well. It was also good to see that in spite of the circumstances of their births, Dillon, Cade, and Zachary were able to show the world that they could defy the odds to become what they were. And though it took so many years, it was nice to see that Marlene could finally find happiness and love with Roman. She had denied herself all this time because she hadn't thought that she deserved it. And Uncle Evan was so obviously miserable. He and his wife thrived to make everyone else's life miserable. He just didn't seem able to correct his wrongs and try to move forward. Well done!! ~Sheila

Once again, Ms Francis Ray has delivered! I am never disappointed by her work. If you're like me, addicted to love and passion, it's a must read. I always appreciate that she can be so descriptive and allow the reader to be completely in it all while still being tasteful. Thank you Ms. Ray!
