A most excellent read.

Best Kzin novel out there, hands down. Paul Chafe did more to develop the Kzinti culturally and personally than any of the prior publications. Well worth the bargain price. This one has a permanent place in my collection.

As is always the case, story here is wonderfully woven. The character's are all charismatic and desirable to follow as the story unfolds. There were a few twists that the story needed, but they we're introduced late and conveniently. Making the relationships more transparent would not have been spoilers, but they would have allowed a smoother transition in the story. Not withstanding, it's a great read I was sorry to see it end. -- IBA
