A Classic of Classics

It’s so ironic how something can be utterly surprising and not at the same time. This was my first Hercule Poirot novel and it really reminded me why I love the mystery genre. Sometimes we really don’t know someone until we look at the small details and get little ideas.
I can see why this novel was so successful!

I GOT GOT! It is a wild ride for sure! Christie strings you along just like Poirot, gives you all the facts, tells you about Poirot’s stance of not fully believing anyone (a stance you as a reader should take), and then shows you in the end in a very simple exposition how all the details she gave you fit together in an unexpected ending. 10/10 book.
To be almost 100 years old, such a timeless read!

I’ve not read a book for recreation in quite some time, so when I started reading this book from the 1920s, I wasn’t sure how I’d enjoy reading it. This book as ignited a love of reading in me that I will continue in my search of more incredible murder mystery and thriller books!
