I'd only just rejected my former mate mere hours ago, and now a bond was forming with a new one?
Being an Omega werewolf bites, and not in the good way. It means I'm smaller, weaker, and submissive to other wolves. It means I need protection. I've had that protection from my mate, Vince, the Alpha of the Morelli pack, for five years now, and I've been happy with him. In fact, we've been trying to make pups of our own to continue the Morelli bloodline. One night when I come home from work, however, I discover Vince isn't the wolf I thought he was.
With the sting of betrayal hot in my veins, I break our mating bond and leave Vince. Now I'm an Omega on her own in the world, which is a dangerous thing to be. Lunai, the Moon Goddess, decides I deserve another shot at a fated mate though. All I have to do is rescue this new mate who has been abducted then I'll have his protection.
This plan has several problems.
One: see that bit about me being an Omega werewolf. I can barely keep myself safe. How am I supposed to save another wolf?
Two: Alpha wolves don't take kindly to their mates breaking the bond. If I think Vince is going to just let me leave him and the Morelli pack, I seriously need my head examined.
And three: this new mate Lunai wants to give me? Yeah, he's Archer Sinclaire, also known as the Morelli pack's biggest rival.
Is a second chance at a forever love worth all this, or should I just accept my fate as a lone wolf?
