You know how the book is always better than the movie or tv series. This is the one exception. If you already watched the show, skip the book. It’s disappointing.

This is a quick and easy, but emotional read. The best way to read this book is to go in knowing nothing about it.

I’m a grownup reading the words of a messed up teenager, an unreliable narrator, if you will. Young adult fiction seems more than it used to be. I’m a grownup & still, my heart is … heavy today.

The book was going no where for the first 50 something chapters, still, nothing was happening so I gave up and searched up the ending
  • Amazing Read

I read this book last year and still can’t get it out of my head. It was such an enticing read, I can almost picture it as a movie I saw. I keep reading books to find something that compares to how vivid and alluring this was and I just can’t. You won’t be able to put this down, and the ending is just shocking! I loved it!

Not a YA book. A readers’ and writers’ book, a masterful unreliable narrator, a joy.

This book was incredible. The way the author writes is poetic, original, and addictive. I read it in one day and could hardly believe the ending. It might be the best book I’ve ever read. It’s heartbreaking and thought provoking, it made me feel so many things all at once and I couldn’t stop thinking about it for days. A haunting portrayal of family dynamics, generational trauma, and how your life can change in just a few seconds. Utterly gut-wrenching, but amazing story.
