Good book

The characters were very complex and human that they build a powerful vibe of storytelling in this book! In addition, the twists were so unexpected and compelling!

Couldn’t put it down......

This was an outstanding book. However, I knew from the descriptions it would be very difficult to read. The characters were unforgettable and reflected the best (good) and worst (evil) of human behavior. I found myself thinking about Sonny, Simon, and the unspeakable horrors of human trafficking, addiction, greed, and corruption, leading to horrific consequences and destruction of innocent lives and families.

I have read everyone of his stories especially losing the Harry Hole canon. He is the prototype of the can't put it down thriller writer. And the writing is so good! This book seemed the best I can remember with Simon being such a flawed, human and wise cop as well as Sonny such an amazing convict. Nesbø has it all with great action, elegant descriptions, wonderful characters and a fine sense of morality as well. The best!

Such a great read. Characters were troubled, complex, and real. Gripping once the storyline is laid out. Must read!!!

Fascinating characters and a great story line. I enjoyed it thoroughly and rank it among my favorites of all time.

Good read but obvious twist.

My new favorite Jo Nesbo book. Fast paced mystery with great characters and unique plotting.
