Even if you don’t like this book you’ll recognize how perfectly it’s written. Also, it was literally like reading a violent version of Oceans 11. Very good.

I loved this book along with the Shadow and Bone series. The characters are wonderful…you root for them all individually, the plot is inventive and fresh, and I’m looking forward to the next.

Honestly, I almost stopped reading because I liked it so much! I didn’t want it to end and I didn’t want to be disappointed. Thankfully I wasn’t!. I loved all the main characters. I loved the dialogue. This book kept me at the edge of my seat with some of the twists and seeing their past unfold. The only thing I was confused on. And I mean this is me nitpicking. Was some of the romance felt unnecessary but that could just be personal preference. Long story short. Do yourself a favor and just read it. This is your sign to read it now… you’re welcome.

I read this a while ago and I could NOT put it down. Stayed up until around 3 on a school night to finish. The characters are so well developed and I adore every single one of them, I couldn’t ever choose a favorite. The plot was perfectly put together and things were revealed at a satisfying pace. I honestly have no negative things to say about this book. Would recommend 100 percent, though I’d say to read Shadow and Bone first. It just gives you a little more context, so you’ll be familiar with the terms in the beginning. It is optional though, Bardugo does a good job of explaining later on. Love this book sm.

I absolutely love everything about this book, here’s why: first the characters are funny and relatable on multiple levels and I developed genuine connections to each of the characters. Second, the character development and world building is immaculate and it made me feel like I was actually there because of the descriptiveness and excellent writing. This will forever be one of my favorite books and it is absolutely a must read. Now if you’ll excuse me, I must continue making this book my entire personality.
