Description

From New York Times bestselling author Julia Kent:

Lydia's new boss stole the job she wanted and he thinks he owns the place already on Day One.

Turns out -- he actually does.

She can't control her attraction to Matt, the man with stormy eyes and a penchant for kissing her in the supply closet, the elevator, and in her increasingly intense dreams. Dreams that sometimes include his friend Jeremy…

But Matt has a secret -- he's really Michael Bournham, playboy extraordinaire and the CEO of the company, and he's doing a reality television stunt. For six weeks he's pretending to be a middle manager while producers video tape everything.

Everything.

Including the moment he and Lydia give in and break every rule.

And, perhaps, their hearts.

I couldn’t get enough of this book. I was reading it every where I went.

While I enjoyed most of the book, it seemed to have jump all over the place a lot. Switching back and forth between narrators made it a little difficult to keep up with. The book also doesn’t have a real ending and just carries on to the next books. I wouldn’t recommend.

The story jumped all over the place. Really didn’t get a sense of the characters. Some of the story had to much detail, details that you didn’t need to know really because it didn’t go with the story. When the sex scenes came about that was good, there was just not a lot of consistency in the story. Some of the characters were out of place there was not a need for them as in it didn’t do anything for the story.

Great story. Falling in lust/love with your boss only to find out he isn’t who you thought he was. Super sexy scenes.

Laugh out loud. So enjoyable. Really, the steam could have been cut from the story, as the fun and hilarious character play was the best part of this book. Good read

Good storyline but a little too much forced sexuality and sex scenes for my taste

I enjoyed the premise of the story, but found the characters lacking depth and real personality. There was fun dialog, completely witty at times...Lydia's drunken matterings were quite comical, but I didn't get the same connection with the characters in this book as I have in Julia Kent's other series, "Shopping for a Billionaire" for instance. Some of the scenes could have had me chuckling (the travel arrangements as they unfolded), rather than seething...as described was more mean than funny...but really could have been hilarious. In all of the book I just didn't feel any true spark between Lydia and Matt...perhaps in the books that follow in the series, as Mike emerges the chemistry that would supposedly make you completely forget your being watched via cameras while in the office, will surface and make the reader want to root for Lydia and Mike...rather than Lydia and Jeremy as her musings and the description of the second book infers. The book was provided to me by the author for an honest review...I wish I could have enjoyed it more and I truly enjoy Julia Kent's writing as a whole. I'm hoping that the remaining two books in the series will make a liar out of me, and show me that I was being impatient in my criticism by not waiting for the story to unfold further!
