I loved this book! The concept of Tobi with a phobia that is so connected to Travis’s occupation and how they managed to work out the differences and seal their love was a wonderful story.

Stayed up til 3 finishing it. Now I will be tired all day. Good story, great characters, interest plot!

Tobi and Travis’s love story goes through remembered attraction, love, a split, and coming together again. It’s sad, romantic, and makes you want to cheer for their success all at the same time. Well written with a good storyline.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and I loved it enough to purchase a copy. I am just going to say, WOW!! This is intense. I felt so bad for Tobi. Her fear of airplanes, after being the only survivor of a small plane crash. This crash killed her BFF. Travis, is a pilot of a small aircraft and a trainer as well. This is their story of coming together over this past tragedy. The book is written with a dual POV. This really helped me, the reader, to identify with Tobi's fear. Never having been through the experience, it was a MUST. It is hard to said if she was irrational as I don't have a reference point to go with. Having a look into her thoughts and fears, this helped me as a reader to see where she was coming from. Why she did and/or didn't do things or even say things that I felt were illogical. Ms. Gaddy did a wonderful job of writing this. Travis, on the other hand, is a definite keeper!!! What a fabulous male protagonist. I just fell in love with him immediately. He was strong and alpha while being kind and caring. I highly recommend this story to anyone. Yes, there are some sex scenes and strong language BUT it was more of an enhancing of the story not THE story!

Rebel Pilot Texas Doctor (Book 1 in the Devil’s Rock at Whiskey River Series) by Eve Gaddy. This is Dr. Tobi Robinson and Travis Sullivan’s story. Tobi and Travis were friends in high school. Their paths cross again. Travis and Tobi’s feelings begin to change to more than friendship. Tobi has fears from a trauma that she suffered in her past. Will she be able to overcome these fears and take a chance on love? This was an emotional, heartwarming, and steamy read. The characters were realistic. I really liked Travis’ character and loved how he was there for Tobi. It was great to be back in Whiskey River. I loved that series. If you haven’t read the first Whiskey River series I recommend it. Looking forward to the additional books in the Devil’s Rock at Whiskey River. FYI, contains mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
