Description

Sometimes the difference between a love story and a horror story is where the ending comes...

While Jude fought for power in the Court of Elfhame against the cruel Prince Cardan, her sister Taryn began to fall in love with the trickster, Locke.

Half-apology and half-explanation, it turns out that Taryn has some secrets of her own to reveal.

The Lost Sisters is a companion e-novella to the New York Times bestselling novel The Cruel Prince, by master writer Holly Black.

It’s pretty good. It’s more of an apology letter than anything else. We aren’t the audience. Jude is. This is definitely an interesting read because we get too see exactly how Taryn thinks and how she feels about Jude.
  • Pretty enjoyable!

I thought that this was really nice to read after “The Cruel Prince” and before “The Wicked King”! It really helped me to get a better understanding of Taryns character. Although it was short, so there was not a huge plot, it was interesting! I would strongly suggest it if you want to get into the Folk of the Air trilogy!
  • Highly recommend reading

This was better than I thought! It helped me look at the first book with a different perspective! I feel like I understand Taryn better now, I finally understand why she did what she did and why. I finally understand Locke and who he is. I understand why Taryn kept her distance from Jude and vice Versa. This book is kind of like adding an extra cherry to a sundae. It adds a new and different perspective. I’m looking forward to reading the second book with the knowledge from the first book and this one😁😁

I love this series so much that I binge read everything during spring break. I love we get to see things from Taryn’s perspective and understand why she did what she did. But my god woman do you get on my nerves. Wonderful short little story on Taryn, but I still can’t accept what she’s done (even by the end of the third book) 💛🖤
  • Oh Taryn.

Having just started the series, I really appreciated getting the chance to read this novella. I’m not sure how well I’ll like Taryn by the end of the series, but this was good insight into her role/decision-making. Onwards to book 2 :]
  • Short story

The story is from Taryns point of view, which still doesn’t change how I see her . The story ends abruptly just as you get in to it.

In this story we can have a better understanding of Taryn and why she did what she did. It is a good story and I kind of understand her side. That doesn’t mean a like her better.
  • It’s what I expected

I expected that reading Taryn’s side of the story wouldn’t change how I felt about her character...still don’t like her. She’s weak.
