Didn’t like the last book of series

Normally, I try to keep an open mind depending what the story is about. I thought since this is the last book of the White Collar Brothers series that featured Dominic Mancini and how it was going to begin and end, honestly I was disappointed because it had so much backstory of the past between him and his ‘secret hook up’ Val whom they have a difficult past. Unfortunately, their story didn’t appeal to me like that I thought it would after finished reading Sexy Flirty Enemy. After reading at least the first few chapters, I just thought the pace of the story was too slow and boring that it had skipped to Dominic’s side because Val’s chapters were way too depressing and boring. Sorry but their story was not one of my favorites among Blue Collar Brothers, Flirting with Fire that featured Mauro and Maddie & White Collar Brothers featured Enzo and Annie. But it was good Luca and Lauren were mentioned getting married as well as knowing Mauro finally married Maddie & were expecting their first child together. Also it was nice to know Cristian and Vanessa are still together. Wish I could say something positive about this book but unfortunately I didn’t like it 😬.

Absolutely loved this series! Steamy rom-com with characters that are so relatable and funny. I wish there were more brothers so there could be more books in this series. Looking forward to reading more from this dynamic duo.
Review: White Collar Brothers 3: Wild Steamy Hook-Up

Wild Steamy Hook-Up by Piper Rayne is the third book in their White Collar Brothers series. By far the more emotionally charged, deeper story of the three brothers - this is a story of second chances for two people who didn't think they could ever be together. With the help of their guilt-tripping Italian mothers Dom & Val have no choice BUT to make it work. The problem is - there are moments in their joined past that are beyond difficult for each of them to get over leaving the two of them trying desperately to move forward without having dealt with their issues. Emotional, a little-heartbreaking, but ultimately with a hard-won happily ever after this story was fantastic! Enjoy!
Painful

Not only were the two main characters not likable as individuals, they were an absolute train wreck together. The sole purpose of each of their lives being to hurt the other, Dom and Valentina had no chemistry, the interactions between the two and the other characters was stilted and the storyline forced. This was a painful read, the reader having no confidence in Dom and Val as people, let alone a couple. Hard pass. The positive reviews will only be from idiots who get the book for free - guaranteed.

Highly anticipated Dom’s story! After getting bits and pieces of both Dom and Val through the past books, we finally get their story and thankfully it is the pair together! With their past together stemming from childhood, we not only wonder what happened before to cause the break up, but then what happened as adults to cause another. With feelings pent up and not shared, after a drunken night in Vegas the pair end up married with no recollection, and when their parents find out, they are forced to not move forward with an annulment right away. Being forced to stay together, they save face with everyone except who already knows, but behind closed doors develop a situation with benefits for both. But when the benefits cause their feelings to come back and their communication skills lacking, miscommunication and assumptions threaten to ruin their budding relationship. A thoroughly enjoyable book from this pair, it was comical reading the back and forth and just wanting them to be together! Can’t wait to get the next story from this family – hopefully Blanca!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Great second chance romance

I love this series and couldn’t wait to read Dom’s story. This is a great second chance story. Through the first two books, Dom has been involved with a mysterious hook-up. Nine months ago, they ended their relationship, and Dom’s response seemed to indicate that this was more than a booty call to him. This book opens in Vegas where the Mancini brothers are attending their cousin’s bachelor party. What happened in Vegas doesn’t stay in Vegas since Dom and his first love, Valentina, get drunk and married. Of course, their plans to annul the marriage are thwarted by their meddling Italian mothers. I loved Dom, it was clear that he has always loved Val, but life got in the way. This story had so many ups ands downs and there were times I was so frustrated that Dom and Val couldn’t get out of their own way. As always, Piper Rayne gives the reader a thoroughly enjoyable read. I received an ARC of this book from the author for my honest review.
