I read this book many years ago and it was absolutely wonderful. I bought it from a thrift store for maybe a dollar and it was just a wonderful well read book

As a forerunner to "Only Time Will Tell," Archer's "As the Crow Flies" is an outstanding indicator of the author's skills. In wonderful prose writing, he gives a story which is historical while also being a novel impossible to put down. Comparative to Rutherfurds "Sarum". I enjoyed every word.

A truely exceptionally well written story. The weaving of each characters point of view style of writting was ingenious and masterfully done. The twisting plots kept me hooked from cover to cover. While reading this book I couldn't wait to finish to find out what happens, but was saddened when I had. The characters had grown on me and I was sad to have to say goodbye. I could not put it down even at the end of a chapter. Many times I found myself being forced to put it down so I wouldn't be late for work and read it at every chance I could.

I really enjoyed this book and found it hard to put down. I loved how the author told the story from many different points of views, allowing you to piece together the story bit by bit. Just when you think you have it figured out, someone throws a wrench into your thought process. In the end, it's a smart rags to riches story marred by a secret that some characters would go to extremes to keep hidden.
