Description

A top nuclear scientist goes mad and takes an innocent family hostage at gunpoint, killing one and causing a massive standoff.
A plume of radiation above New York City leads to a warehouse where, it seems, a powerful nuclear bomb was assembled just hours before.
Sifting through the evidence, authorities determine that the unthinkable is about to happen: in ten days, a major American city will be vaporized by a terrorist attack.
Ten days. And Gideon Crew, tracking the mysterious terrorist cell from the suburbs of New York to the mountains of New Mexico, learns the end may be something worse--far worse--than mere Armageddon.

Amazing...couldn't put it down. Cannot wait for the next Gideon Crew novel. Please keep up the great work individually and together. I've read ALL of them. Irv B. Melbourne Beach,fl

Nowhere near as good as their previous work. Almost reads like a half baked first novel. There are much better ways to spend your $12.99. Keep looking.
  • Crappy and disappointing

This book has no depth, detail, believable characters, places or scenes. I've read many of their books and enjoyed all of them but this is a miss and doesn't even seem like their work. It will be a great read for a twelve year old.

Preston & Child need to focus on Pendergast. This was a truly boring read.

The Gideon series can best be described as Preston and Child wannabe's. They lack the depth and breath of the Pendergast series. The characters are poorly developed and the stories are cut rate. These books are beach reads and forgettable.

Not Pendergast but not bad. Preston & Child never fail to entertain. Been a faithful follower for years. No real duds. Thanks once again.

Greatest thriller ever. Never have I read a such heart pounding mind blowing novel. No disappointment here.
  • Preston and Child lite

Having read all of the Preston / Child books, I find the Gideon series to be fun, enthralling and ultimately satisfying. However, they do not hold a candle to the Pendergast series, specifically Cabinet of Curiosities and the classic Relic. The Gideon books are still superior to anything else being offered, but will never match up to Pendergast.
