“You can’t help but fall in love with Lynsay Sands!” —Christina Dodd

New York Times bestselling author Lynsay Sands takes romance fans on The Husband Hunt. Bestselling author Suzanne Enoch, declares that, “Lynsay Sands hits all the right notes,” and any reader who has ever been touched by the unique Sands romantic magic—be it her delectable Argeneau family vampire novels, her Scottish highlands-set historicals, her marvelous Medieval love stories, or her delightful Regency Era romps—would no doubt enthusiastically agree. The Husband Hunt is a wild and captivating ride, as a rakish lord with no interest in marriage must fight his growing attraction for the enormously popular, exquisite beauty he ignored years earlier when she was merely a bright-eyed, infatuated child.

I was very disappointed with my first introduction to Lynsay Sands. The plot and course of events were so utterly unbelievable that I couldn't stomach the book. It seemed a cheap imitation of other, well known Regency authors such as Eloisa James or Julia Quinn. The heroine is drugged and abducted to a brothel; but instead of being afraid, relieved or even just confused, she enjoys sitting on the lap of her rescuer, questioning him about the hard, lumpy thing in his pants! The language in the book also fluctuates between authentic time period English, modern day English and for some bizarre reason some of the dialogue sounds like it is straight out of a Western! Throughout the story the characters fail to exemplify expected Regency Era behavior and speech, leaving this historical romance lover wishing she had not spent money on such an insulting read.

This book started out GREAT! But, then it got so predictable. It just had so much more potential, I was able to figure the villain right away. I still enjoyed it.
