Favorite book in the Sunrise Cove series

This might be one of, if not my favorite of this series! I was so drawn to Luna and her wanting to save all the animals and save her friends' jobs. She has inherited half of the farm, now that the owner has passed, who was a total anal-retentive, control freak. She's terrified to tell her coworkers that she's now a half-owner. Enter the other half-owner, Jameson, whom Luna has INSANE chemistry with. But he also has some of Luna's history, that she is unaware of.
Just the craze of the animals, everything that Luna learns, everything with this book is just perfect. I love Luna and this will be a book I will be reading again and again.
Gotta Love Jill Shalvis

I always struggle to know what to say in a review. I loved this book! I love all Jill Shalvis books! If you’ve read her, you know, if you haven’t you won’t be disappointed if you start here! The Bright Spot is funny, romantic, a little tear jerking at times, but best of all it’s a happily ever after. Sunrise Cove is a place you will long to visit. Wishing you could have a farm with fun animals and a grandma sure to crack you up as a part of your day.
Luna and Jameson are sure to brighten your day and make your nights a little steamy. And what’s not to love about a hot guy holding a baby goat?! Read it today! ❤️

This story is one of love, trust, friendship, hardship , happiness and goats……lots of goats. I fell in love with Stella, Chef and Milo just as much as Jameson & Luna. Willow kinda made me not want to like her but I understood her. Fantastic story that is just real. Real messy, real life and real love!
Jameson ❤️ Luna

Another wonderful stand alone story set in Sunrise Cove, Lake Tahoe. Building a feeling of family with friends takes skills. Luna is the perfect manager of her work family. She has brought all her closest friends together to be a part of the place she loves the most, the farm. Jameson is a numbers guy who is really good at analyzing what is working and not working in making a business successful. On the surface they seem like opposites, but deep down they struggle with some of the same fears. Their story, history, and feelings are realistic and complicated.
Must read

at birth, not the greatest family but now she had created her own through her job working at the Apple Ridge Farm. So when she suddenly inherited half of the farm from Silas (who the employees called The Grinch), she hid it from everyone there, even her closest friend Willow because she didn’t want to cause problems. Luna also has to figure out a way to save the farm itself because while it might look good when there, it wasn’t doing well according to the books, especially when a major loan was due. Would the other owner Jameson help her or would he be like the other men she had been around, take what they wanted and leave. Jameson Hayes was a by the books financial man. Silas had been his mentor growing up and when Jameson inherited the other half of Apple Ridge Farm he never expected things to fall the way they did. From being followed around and loved by a goat to decided to help Luna save the farm no matter what the cost. There are secondary characters/animals that pulled at your heart, made you laugh and more. But it was the chemistry between Luna and Jameson that made you want to keep going and going until you reached the end. The interaction between everyone was awesome. This is book 5 in the Sunrise Cove series. The great thing about this series is each book stands by itself so you can read it first, last or anywhere in between. Yet in the progress you still can find some of the other books characters involved in some way. I have been a huge fan of Jill Shalvis since the beginning and the fact I got to read an ARC of this book before it was released was a true honor. Definitely recommending this one to be added to your TBR list, it might even be one of the ones you want both in digital and print, as I know I do.
Opposites Work Together Toward Impossible Goal

I loved this book (like pretty much anything by Jill Shalvis), and could not put it down. Luna and Jameson met at a bar, prior to realizing who they would be to each other. They had off the charts chemistry and great flirting despite the fact that he is a "suit", and she is a "people person adverse to numbers" although it went nowhere - at first. Their chemistry, and their different approaches to everything often made for hysterical situations and witty banter. I also loved the "found family" at the farm and the amazing quirky cast of characters who were extremely well written and helped them both grow and figure out how to work together to save the farm. And the adorable rescue animals were just the icing on the cake - especially DZ. The reader has to wonder if Silas was matchmaking from "beyond the grave" when he left the farm to both of them. I can't wait to read the next book in the series - Enjoy!
I was sent an ARC by the author and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Luna and Jameson have a connection from day one, despite seemingly being on opposite side in the running of the property they both inherited. Not to mention, he’s a numbers guy and she leads with her heart. Soon, he’s as deeply entrenched in her heart as the far is, but secrets that he keeps may ruin it all.
I like the secondary characters as well, although Willow was kind of an annoying brat and frankly, her husband could have done better, lol. I’m usually not that harsh, but she just bugged me for some reason.
Can’t wait for the next Sunrise Cove story.
Great story, lots of drama and romance

Brighten your day with this wonderful story about friendship, relationships, unity and determination. The story is an inspiration to those of us that doubt ourselves. A family created in love can pick you when you think all is lost.
Luna has been running the farm, The Bright Spot, for years. Luna has her hands full on at the farm with the orchard, cafe, animal rescue, botanical gardens catering to tourists and locals. The workers are one great big happy family with more connections than I thought were ever possible. There is such a uniqueness to the characters that I wanted to climb into the story and disappear. I want to go searching for The Bright Spot and get lost in the emotions and the people. I want to experience a family made by choice.
Unfortunately for all concerned, all good things must come to an end. Luna has just learned something that could change everything. Silas, the owner has passed away leaving the farm at risk of collapse unless one of the new owners can save the day.
Jameson really doesn't want to be at The Bright Spot. He didn't want to inherit half of the farm. If it wasn't for his promise to Silas he would sell and walk away. But for Silas; he will give The Bright Spot and Luna two months. Instead of tearing a business apart he will attempt to put The Bright Spot back together.
Jameson has now clue what he is getting into at The Bright Spot. Jameson is surprised to realize the woman he flirted with the night before is the same person he must now help. The question is will Luna accept his help. The attraction they felt in the bar steams the pages, the conflicts are even hotter.
Jameson soon learns the true meaning of family. It will take all of them working together to save The Bright Spot. Drama will put it at risk. Drama could tear couples apart. Will they be able to trust each other enough to save the farm and find a happily ever after. The journey of discovery was a wonderful escape for this reader.
Loved this book!

I thoroughly enjoyed The Bright Spot! Jill Shalvis has once again outdone herself. Her writing is clear, concise and her characters feel like friends. Luna and Jameson both have had rocky childhoods and carry baggage. While Luna has created her family of sorts, Jameson seems to be a loner. These two are thrown together in business and have many challenges. I love how Jill Shalvis describes their feelings from their pasts and the impact both now and in the future, evoking emotions in the reader. I was drawn in from the beginning and couldn’t put it down. Five stars for this talented and creative writer.

I absolutely loved this book! The characters are so real and had me wishing I was part of these friends that made a family for each other. This author did not disappoint in providing lots of laughter with the crazy, lots of sighs with the feelings and the many adorable animals, all in picturesque Lake Tahoe. This was a great story and one I did not want to end.
