    Puzzled about this book/ series. The writing isn’t up to the standards I’ve come to expect from this author. Many grammatical mistakes, weird segues, and a lack of realism regarding the character arcs. The main character- a lawyer- seems pretty stupid and rather naive… it seems she’s trying to grow and change some of her past emotional patterns… but for someone who has passed the bar, and whose company wants her back after she quit, her deep naïveté makes no sense. She keeps allowing others to mistreat her, acting ridiculously weak. And the narrative about her dreams is getting really repetitive. I am into the second book of the series, forcing myself to finish it since I already paid for it. But am having a hard time connecting w/ the characters. The plot is somewhat interesting but it’s so choppy that the story has become unrealistic.
