Description

Eve Dallas deals with a homicide—and the holiday season—in this thrilling In Death novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author J. D. Robb.

Personal trainer Trey Ziegler was in peak physical condition. If you didn’t count the kitchen knife in his well-toned chest.

Lieutenant Eve Dallas soon discovers a lineup of women who were loved and left by the narcissistic gym rat. While Dallas sorts through the list of Ziegler’s enemies, she’s also dealing with her Christmas shopping list—plus the guest list for her and her billionaire husband’s upcoming holiday bash.

Feeling less than festive, Dallas tries to put aside her distaste for the victim and solve the mystery of his death. There are just a few investigating days left before Christmas, and as New Year’s 2061 approaches, this homicide cop is resolved to stop a cold-blooded killer.

Another great “In Death” book. J D Robb keeps putting these books out and they are mysterious, numerous, sexy all wrapped into one great book. Of course there is always a twist that makes it even more interesting. A Must Read.

I’m a big fan and have read, and reread, them all. I enjoyed this one but it wasn’t the page turner some of her other books are. I thought the characters were not as well defined and kept getting confused as to who was who. A little slow when reading. However, I did enjoy it and would recommend the book as an easy read. Just not one of those I could use put it down books.

JD Robb delivers again with just the right amount of life and death
  • Boring

This is JD's worst, boring, lacked zip, plot line pedantic almost Perry Mason predictable. There is no threat to Eve or her people AND Eve herself lacked real sparkle or bite. If you love Eve skip this one you are not missing anything.

The story has a typical In Death plot but the humorous elements were among the best to date. I like the way the main character, Lt. Dallas, has grown more comfortably into her life as a tough, married cop who still struggles with the daily challenges of having to make nice when she doesn't want to, juggling personal obligations with professional demands, and balancing her privileged life with the harsh realities of the crimes she encounters routinely at work. All the main characters have been well established and recently added and lost members have been neatly fitted into the In Death universe. Festive in Death was a nice holiday read. In addition to the usual intrigue and plot twists one expects from this series, there were some very amusing and hilarious scenes that had me laughing aloud unexpectedly. I'll relish the much appreciated humor of this one while I look forward to the next. Thank you J. D. Robb!

What can I say? I love strong, intelligent, confident women. And Eve DALLAS is the ultimate crescendo of this breed ... Lol!! I feel like I'm revisiting family every time another "In Death" book or novella is released and this is one of the best experiences for an avid reader. Thank you JD Robb/Nora Roberts for this precious gift.

I always enjoy J D Robb's books. I have all the "in death" e-books. This was like the rest, an evolving of family and friends with a back drop of murder.
