Description

From the New York Times bestselling author of Bully comes a gripping novella in the Fall Away series—the epic conclusion to Jared and Tate's story.

The tables have turned. Now I have the power—and it’s his turn to beg....

Everyone wants to be me. Maybe it’s the sway of my skirt or the way I flip my hair, but I don’t care. Even though their attention is the last thing I crave, I just can’t stop. I dominate the track, the speed rattles my bones, and the wind and the crowd screams my name.

I’m her. The girl driver. The queen of the race. And I’m surviving—something he thought I’d never do.

They all talk about him. Did you see Jared Trent on T.V? What did you think of his last race, Tate? When is he coming back to town, Tate?

But I refuse to care too much. Because when Jared does come home, I won’t be here.

Tatum Brandt is gone. I’m someone new....

I just can’t get enough of the Fall Away series. I was hooked from the first chapter of Bully book to the last chapter of Aflame book, where sadly it ends for the gang. I loved all the ups and downs...immaturity to maturity...hate and love. Great writing! Thank you Penelope Douglas!

This book explains what happens after Falling Away. It’s a wonderful book and you get to see Tate grow! Plus, she’s trying to settle the score!

I love this series and these characters. Going back to it again after so long was a real treat for me. Seeing the changes and constants between them all over time was excellent for a Jared and Tate lover like me. I still love Jax too, and really I just love them all. Excellent conclusion.

This book is a continuation of Jared Trent and Tatum Brandt's story that started with Bully in the Fall Away series. It can be read as stand alone, but to fully enjoy the fruits of this amazing story and the authors labor - please read the other books in the series first. Jared and Tate have gone their separate ways in this book. They are still in love with one another - but time and being apart has made them gun shy with relationships. The truth is they both want to get back together, but are just too stubborn. Jared had come home after 6 months only to find Tate with another man, on the night he was going to propose. He was very hurt and it took his mother having his baby sister to get him home. He is not expecting to see Tate. Tate does not know Jared is there as she walks in and is getting ready to go out. She really wants to know why he had to find himself without her. They had a great relationship - and it hurt so bad when he left. The conclusion to the series shows all our favorite characters from the previous books in the Fall Away Series. I loved it and wished for another book!

This book was perfection. I will miss these characters. This book was so well written and was very realistic. This is true, the way Jared and Tate loved each other was so real. The story made me laugh and cry. You will not be disappointed.

I love love loved this book. It was the perfect ending for this series. The interactions between Jared and Tate were intense, every single one of them. Madoc provided his usual comic relief with a side of sweet understanding. And Jax was his straight up, no nonsense self. Fallon and Juliet played their small roles too, but honestly, Tate didn't need quite as much pushing as Jared did from his boys. And Pasha was a great addition to the crew. Her snark had me in stitches. Penelope Douglas does intensity so well that you'll find yourself squealing, groaning, and frequently exclaiming "No!!!" You'll probably want to have some wine, chocolate, and tissues handy, and it might be a good idea to put your reading device in an Otterbox case for extra protection in case you throw it across the room. If you loved Jared and Tate in Bully and Until You, you're not going to want to miss this book.

Where will I get my fill of Maddox... His laughter & amazing wisdom. And the beautiful, all-knowing, all-seeing heart of Jax. So smart beyond his years. Not to mention the heat and yearning you felt every time Jared entered a scene. There was nothing like Jared & Tate... But I love them all and will truly miss reading about their lives and feeling as if it is my own or at least wanting it to be!

I'm sad to see the series end. I loved them all. This one was a really good ending. It gives the reader closure for all the characters. I look forward to what Penelope gives us next.
