This book is a summary and analysis of Graham and Zweig's "The Intelligent Investor" and is not the actual book. This book is full of advice on how to wisely invest your money. Investing is a topic that people dont know much about, yet it can be extremely beneficial if done properly. I enjoyed this reading this summary and appreciated the breakdown of the book into 9 key takeaways. I highly recommend this book if you are wondering where to start when it comes to investing your money.

One of the top books on investment. But like other investment books it can get rather boring and tedious to read through. I bought this summary guide and was very happy with the purchase. The main ideas and concept are all covered in perfect format and makes digesting all that information so much easier and faster. Fantastic guide that really helped me grasp how to become a better investor. Highly recommended to anyone interested in the book, investing or who have read the book but got a little lost like I did.

Described in the original as a "thorough guide to the principles of portfolio creation, cost management, stock and bond picking, and stock ownership for the defensive, long term investor" Instaread describes the author's writing style as formal. Important to remember that Benjamin Graham's part of the book was written in 1973 with "large quotations of the 1960's editions of the book" thereby using some outdated language and "terms some investors might not be familiar with". Case studies are said to be dated although "principles themselves still applicable". There is said to be plenty of jargon throughout and even Zweig's portion of the book is outdated having been written prior to the 2008 recession.
  • Can be really scary sometimes!

Money management is scary sometimes. But there seems to be an endless supply of books about how to make more money, how to maintain the money you have, or how to spend the money that other people have. If you want any hope at finding a good book, then pick up this review of "The Intelligent Investor." Instaread's summary is incredible, because it condenses the message and argument of Zweig's treatise, helping you make an informed decision if its worth buying another book on money management. Honestly, I think that this review is good enough.
