⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Star Review by Kristie K
From the machine that is Carrie Ann Ryan comes another tantalizing look into the world of those delectable Montgomery’s…
Inked Expressions is the seventh installment of the Montgomery Ink series, and follows the life, times, trials, and tribulations of Storm Montgomery. When the book begins, we watch as Storm and his best friend’s pregnant wife, Everly, banter and share a friendship that most would kill for. But, that happy time quickly comes to a halt when the police show up at Everly’s door to inform her of a tragic accident that has taken the life of his friend and her husband, Jackson. As Everly processes the information, her water breaks and she delivers her sons…twin boys, and proceeds to learn how to live a life and raise her children without their father. Storm had always promised his friend that he would look after his family, but when tragedy strikes, Everly pushes storm away, and their relationship becomes a bit more strained. Three years pass, and unthinkable acts of cruelty and malice attempt to rip Everly apart piece by piece. As always, Storm is there…helping Everly in any way he can to make her life and the life of those two boys as good as possible. Fighting a change in their relationship for a long time, Storm and Everly find it harder and harder to keep each other at arms length. When they finally give into their growing desire for one another, more challenges fly at them, complicating things further. Will they be able to wade through tragedy to find their love?
This is the first of the Montgomery Ink series that I have read, though I have experienced Ms. Ryan’s paranormal worlds before. I was very intrigued, and drawn into this story of love, loss, betrayal, tragedy, and ultimate redemption. The Montgomery family has always called to me, so I jumped at the chance to finally read one of their stories. The first thing I noticed was the sexy as hell cover, and the captivating blurb. Storm and Everly’s story called to me on a primal level, and I was thrilled to see it come to completion. The characters were authentic and real, both harboring demons and secrets of their own. Their compassion, strength, and love were inspiring and heartbreaking. I fell in love with them all immediately, and desperately want to become a part of the Montgomery clan! The plot and storyline were creative and well thought out, and detailed. My only disappointment was that it seemed to drag on. In areas that didn't require a lot of detail, the story dragged. Then at other times, it skipped over what I would consider important plot points and twists. There was a lot of turmoil in this book, and the plot twists were somewhat predictable. The plot twists weren’t concentrated on nearly as much as some of the lesser points, and honestly, the sex. Now, I LOVE a steamy sex scene as much as the next girl, but I love a flawlessly executed plot even better. So, it may not have been everything I hoped for, but I wasn’t too disappointed. I will be checking out more of the Montgomery family, and look forward to seeing them all again.

This book was the perfect addition to the Montgomery Ink series. It drew me in from the beginning, and the twists and turns held me there to the last page. I loved seeing Storm find his HEA, and Everly was perfect for him.
Full of mystery, suspense, and scenes that heat up the pages, this is a must read!!!

Loved it!!!! I was so pleased to get to know Storm better in this story. He has always seemed so aloof yet willing to help any family member or friend. Understanding his story and getting to know Everly made the story so much better. Storm is a protector and that comes through loud and clear. Everly is a survivor and a strong woman, perfect for Storm great read!!!!

Storm never thought he could fall for his best friends wife and Everly thought she lost the love of her life the night her twin boys were born. Three years after the loss of Jackson, a major secret comes out that no one saw coming. Everly is at a low point in her life but Storm is there every step of the way helping her and the boys. But, the question is will she let Storm help her?
I love this series and never want it to end. Loved see all the Montgomery together again. Can't wait for Wes and Jillian.

I love everything Carrie Ann, and this was no exception. I adore the Montgomery bunch and always look forward to them. These stories always have such a good storyline and great family bonds behind them to.
Storm and Everly have known each other since college, and have been nothing but friends. When Jonathan dies, Everly husband and Storms best friend he steps up to help Everly and her newborns in typical Montgomery fashion, they always protect there loved ones fiercely. After what seems like forever the tides sort of change for these two and they start to see each other differently which takes them by surprise and leaves them on edge around each other.
I have loved Storms mysterious persona and now we know why he's always seemed miserable in a way, he's holding one heck of secret. And Everly was a phenomenal heroine, she truly showed the meaning of strength and devotion!!

I was always very curious about Storm because it seemed like he held the stresses of his siblings on his shoulders and I was so happy to read his story! Storm has held a secret most of his life.. without giving anything away - I did not see it coming! I didn’t really understand why he never told anyone or why he felt so bad when it wasn’t his fault, but at the same time you understand because he’s that type of guy. I also love that the woman he falls for has twins because he is a twin! Everly’s dead husband (and Storm’s best friend) left them with such a mess that they try to navigate on top of trying to figure out their feelings for one another. I loved this book! Carrie Ann Ryan is an amazing writer - she has this huge family she’s written and she makes each person’s story unique and interesting. Also… Wes and Jillian?!?! I’m curious to see how that is going to work out considering she used to be with Storm! **I received an ARC for a honest review**
Perfection!

Right when I think there's no way I could find a character that I love more than the last one, Carrie Ann writes another amazing man. The women are amazing in this series, but THESE MEN! Ugh... they make me want to scour the country for a man like these men! Storm is one of the best yet, and that is NO exaggeration. This guy has gone through so much, and continues to go through so much, for his family. He went through so much for his friend even, but he still keeps getting screwed over. Time and time again these poor people just keep getting pummeled with issues. BUT, this family doesn't take to the words no and issues well, they keep on moving.
With all of that being said, Everly is such a strong woman! She also keeps getting pummeled with issues, but she keeps going. I love that she has someone like Storm in her life, and I also love that her boys want him around. There are so many parts to this book that made me tear up, but Storm with her boys were always the sappiest for me. She was so strong, but she also didn't know how to accept help. Apart with how he is with the boys, Everly and Storm have such a strong spark! Their compatibility is through the roof, and I'm so excited to see it come to live in Inked Expressions.
This makes me that much more excited for Wes!!! Bring me another brother that I can love more than the last <3
Finally Storm's HEA

Another beautiful story from the Montgomerys. Them seem to be a well of never ending sexiness decorated with ink. Storm and Everly's is a simmering romance. She is his best friends window with three yr old adorable twins. They have been friends since college and he has been his rock for the last 3 years.
Storm has his secrets, ghosts from the past. Will he be able to open up and share? I liked that Everly is so strong and a great mom. Indepent and a go getter. I loved their story. There is drama, suspense, family loyalty and aweful in laws. Now I can't wait for the next in line:Wes.

I love this series! I really like that Storm is very different from his brothers. I loved Everly in other books. I had super high hopes for their story and felt like some of the heat like in Austins book was left out. I get that they are very different stories and characters but the other brothers had more of an "alpha male hear me roar and get you hot and bothered attitude". I feel like Storm wasn't exactly up to where his brothers were and perhaps that's because Everly is so independent, but she is a female and some hot lovins appeals to all women. I liked their story and I can see where other characters are being introduced for further stories, but I felt like this story fell slightly from the bar of the other siblings.
